Garmin XE Overview

Relive all of your rides in 1080p resolution up to 60 fps with the VIRB XE Cycling Bundle from Garmin. This bundle packages the VIRB XE action camera with a package of mounts for attaching it virtually anywhere on your bike, including handlebars, seat posts, and roll bars, as well as other tubes such as rifle barrels, ski poles, and more. A helmet strap is also provides so you can capture video from more of a POV perspective, whether riding your bike or participating in other sporting activities.

The VIRB XE offers a variety of resolutions in addition to 1080p60, including 1920x1440 video at 30 fps, 720p video up to 120 fps. It can capture wide-angle 12MP photos at up to 30 fps; additionally, it can also snap stills while recording video or be configured for interval shooting. To help keep your shots steady, the VIRB XE uses integrated motion sensors and electronic image stabilization to reduce camera shake and blur when you are traversing tough terrain.

To go beyond mere video capture, the VIRB XE features G-Metrix technology, which enables you to capture not only the moment but also your performance data, environmental readings, and more. Overlay G-Metrix data over your video to showcase speed, acceleration, temperature, heart rate, and more. For remote monitoring and operation, the camera is equipped with Wi-Fi, ANT+, and Bluetooth connectivity, letting you pair it with compatible mobile devices or the separately available VIRB Remote.

Engineered to be rugged, the VIRB XE is designed to be waterproof up to 164' without an additional dive case or protector. In addition to the bundled Cycling Combo Mount, Small Tube Mount, Large Tube Mount, and Vented Helmet Strap, the VIRB XE comes with flat and adhesive mounts and is compatible with a wide range of separately available mounts.

Cycling Combo Mount
Monitor and control the VIRB XE action camera with a compatible Edge cycling computer, all while attached to the included cycling combo mount. The cycling combo mount reduces overall weight and mounting complexity by offering a simple and solid solution for mounting an optional Edge and VIRB XE to your handlebars. The mount with extended arm allows you to stay in a comfortable, heads-up position for easier monitoring and improved safety. VIRB XE will automatically rotate the video when it is mounted upside down on this mount.
Small Tube Mount
Mount the VIRB XE on a bike's chainstay or other small tube to capture your entire adventure. Use the thick or thin insert so the mount fits perfectly and your camera is locked firmly in place. Adjustable arms provide flexibility to get the right shot. Accommodating tube diameters from 0.35" to 0.95", the mount can be used on additional objects, including ski poles, rifle barrels, and more.
Large Tube Mount
The Large Tube Mount attaches the VIRB XE to your bike or other large tube sporting equipment, which is secured in place using included inserts. Adjustable arms provide flexibility to get the shot you want. The mount can be used on large tubes from 0.75" to 1.5", including handlebars, seat posts, roll bars, larger rifle barrels, and more.
Vented Helmet Strap
Mount VIRB XE to your helmet and capture your entire adventure. Use the vents in your helmet to attach the adjustable strap mount and lock your camera firmly in place while biking or participating in snow or paddle sports.

With the ability to shoot high definition video in 1440p30, 1080p60, and 720p120, the VIRB XE is ready to capture your experiences in vivid detail. Featuring a custom, all-glass lens, high resolutions and zoom levels, the VIRB XE is designed to ensure you get the shots you need.
High-Quality Photography
The VIRB XE comes equipped with a dedicated photo button and the ability to shoot wide-angle 12MP photos at speeds up to 10 fps. You can also capture photos while recording video. Additionally, the VIRB XE can be set to automatically capture photos over long periods of time at customizable intervals up to 120 seconds.
G-Metrix
Capture more than just video of the moment with G-Metrix. VIRB XE is equipped with integrated Garmin GPS, G-force, orientation sensors, and the ability to wirelessly connect to external sensors and Garmin devices to capture more performance data. Track and overlay gauges, charts, and other graphics to showcase your speed, acceleration, heart rate, and more in real time.
Wi-Fi Connectivity
Connect one or more VIRB XE cameras to the Garmin VIRB Mobile App on your compatible smartphone or tablet. This feature allows you to line up your shot with live video preview, control multiple cameras, edit recorded footage, overlay G-Metrix data, and push your videos to the cloud. Additionally, the VIRB XE can be controlled, configured, and viewed from a compatible Garmin device.
Dive Ready
VIRB XE can dive up to 164' without needing additional equipment or cases. Thanks to its hydrophobic, flat glass lens, underwater shots remain clear and transitions stay unobstructed by droplets.
Remote Control
Leverage the Garmin product ecosystem to monitor and control your VIRB XE with compatible devices, such as the optional VIRB remote, smart devices, portable navigation devices, wearables, chartplotters, aviation flight decks, and other VIRB cameras.
Bluetooth-Enabled HD Audio
VIRB XE can connect wirelessly to Bluetooth-enabled headsets or microphones for capturing high-definition audio in high definition.
Multi-Camera Synchronization
VIRB XE automatically synchronizes footage with sub-frame accuracy using GPS timestamps. Use the VIRB Edit desktop application to switch between multiple camera angles with the click of a button. This switching can eliminate time-consuming realignment and time codes.
One-Touch Recording
VIRB XE features a 1-touch record switch on the top of the camera and a dedicated shutter button for still photos in the same place. The solid click of the switch makes it easy to know that you are recording, even when you are wearing gloves. The camera begins recording the moment you flip the switch, whether the camera is on or off.
Weatherproof Power Contacts
For long periods of uninterrupted recording, the VIRB XE is equipped with weatherproof power contacts, enabling you to connect the VIRB to a vehicle battery or other power source.
VIRB Tracking
VIRB Tracking lets you know the last known position of your camera so you can return and retrieve it. Use the VIRB Tracking function with a compatible Garmin device or compatible smartphone.
VIRB Edit
Use Garmin's free desktop software VIRB Edit to generate ready-to-share videos of your experiences. Choose manual controls to review and edit your footage, adjust G-Metrix gauges, add music, and switch between camera angles.
Mounts
The VIRB XE includes flat and curved mounts that let you firmly lock the camera in position. From curved, flat deck, and dash mounts to handlebar, seatpost, helmet, chest, and multi-use strap mounts, VIRB XE has you covered. All VIRB mounts feature non-slip Allen head tightening, designed to allow for maximum torque and be vibration and impact resistant.
