Terrible Tripod

This tripod does support a 2 lb. mirrorless camerain a stable manner . A wireless shutter controller is absolutely necessary to avoid tripod movement. If the camera is touched, the images shakes. It may be useful as a portable small light stand.

I use this with my pinhole cameras to get low to the ground. They work great and are highly adjustable and not too heavy.

I ordered this to mount a Nikon Z6 with a 107mm macro lens for taking close up shots. Yes, macros. I like the adjustability of the legs and how well it handles the weight of the gear. Great Manfrotto design. Clever leg extensions and the ability to rotate the ball head for portraits. Great service from B&H handling my order and getting it to me quickly. Very much appreciated.

Okay for what it is

I've never seen a really good table top tripod, although I'm sure they must exist. This one is not bad, it works well and is the best TTT that I've owned. Great if you have a lightish weight camera/lens. I can see it would be potentially brilliant for macro work. All in all not bad given the reasonable price tag. Designed in Italy made in China.

The flat position came in handy on a very windy day. Got the shot. Very portable. Light. Exactly what I needed.

I got this mini tripod for a hiking trip in Arizona. It worked like a charm. Light and easy to pack, didn't even notice I had it until I needed it.

It works OK

The little tripod has some well-thought-out features such as the ability to expand the legs to multiple positions and the ability to move the switch so the legs will flatten out on the ground. The problem for me is that it's not quite stable enough with my Nikon Z6ii, battery grip, 105mm macro lens, and ring light attached to it. With these items mounted, it's got too much spring to it and requires readjustment multiple times. The legs seem to be fine but the ball head connection post seems to be what is flexing under the weight of my setup. I think for a lighter camera, this tripod could be ideal.

Is it possible with legs extended to use a shoulder support when panning a F1 car through a sequence of shots. Would the two legs rest on shoulders and other rest on your chest as a support.?
Asked by: George
If one was using the Manfrotto PIXI EVO Mini Tripod, the way you describe, it would be a good idea to figure out how to secure that set up, otherwise the camera could easily fall.

Can the angle of the legs be adjusted individually or do they all have to be set at the same angle?
Asked by: Susan
There are 2 positions for the legs angle. The only way to alter this is by extending one or two of the legs to alter the angle of the head unit.

question

Is there a quick release available for this item?
Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately, no, Manfrotto does not have a quick release plate on the PIXI EVO Mini Tripod. If necessary, you may consider purchasing the Manfrotto 323 RC2 System Quick Release Adapter with 200PL-14 Plate, B&H # MA323, but this would reduce the tripod's maximum weight capacity to 5.06 lbs.
