I am a gigging traveling\touring musician and needed better protection for my U-Bass. This case was advertised at a price that I liked. The black case looks nice and the foam molded interior fits my Kala Scout U-Bass perfectly. I've taken it on 4 airline flights and it fit in small overhead by itself. In a larger plane other people pushed it aside and moved it to the back of the luggage compartment our put stuff on top of it, and I wasn't too happy about that, but that's why I bought the case. It protected the instrument and fit the bill. I'm happy with it. A couple of things that would make this better is a more heavy duty handle and rubber feet to protective case when setting it down on the floor.
This type of case offers the best of both a hard case and a soft bag. It conforms snuggly to the shape of a Kala Baritone Uke or a U--Bass. It provides almost all of the protection of a hard case, but weighs very little more than a bag. It also has a rear-mounted strap for carrying it over your shoulder. There is a small, covered, internal accessory box under the instruments neck location, and a generous zippered accessory pouch on the front of the case. This case will provide excellent protection for an instrument as long as isn't crushed by a considerable weight. Scrapes, scratches, hard bumps, and even drops from shoulder height will do no damage to the instrument inside, and no functional damage to the case itself. Have no doubts, this is real protection for you Kala Baritone or U--Bass.
