It has to much static and can't use for what I wanted. I use it outdoors for video of training horses. You can hear the voice along with to much static that makes it uncomfortable to listen too.

The lavalier mic that came with the Azden Pro Video Mic System was an Omni and it picked up sound from all directions. Now there is a uni mic that excludes unwanted side and back noise.

question
I'm in need of a decent (but budget) UNI-directional lav I can plug into my Zoom H1 or Tascam DR05. Anyone know if the plug-in power from those devices is enough for this mic? Thanks.

The Azden EX-505U is a unidirectional lavalier microphone for use with WM-PRO transmitter order as AZEX505UH for use with the 41BT transmitter. It MAY however, work in devices that offer plug-in power.

question
Will this work as a Mic for a desktop computer?
Asked by: Jacob S.
If your computer has a dedicated 3.5mm microphone input, you will likely be able to record an audio signal using this microphone. However, this is not what the EX-505U was designed for and you might find the output level to be inadequate in this application. This microphone is really meant to be used with our wireless transmitters.
