Spitfire Audio Sable Ensembles - Chamber Strings Tool Kit (Download)

Sable Ensembles from Spitfire Audio is part of The British Modular Library, an ongoing project to provide composers with the ability to add fine detail and musical expression to their compositions. This selection features the most essential and popular articulations from the four Chamber Strings Sable libraries in an "ensembles format." Each articulation has been painstakingly remixed to get the best balance of sections with no audible transitions between them.

The library features simple longs, longs muted, staccatos and spiccatos, to flautando, sul tasto and harmonics in multiple round robins, dynamic layers, with control over vibrato. The Ostinatum section of the instrument is not quite an arpegiattor, nor a sequencer, but a device that allows for building complex patterns dependent on what's being played. Additionally, the samples are presented with four microphone positions which can be mixed and blended together to fit a current application.
