It's noisy. When rewinding, it doesn't stop automatically (like the Sony) so you have to stay vigilant while the machine will continue rewinding until the tape breaks or stretches, or...? Tried to record one of those annoying telemarketers and if the cell phone is close enough to hear the voice it either doesn't record or it has that Noise. If you put in 4 C cells it can act as a paperweight and keep stuff from falling off the table. If the 50-year old Sony haden't stop rewinding, I would'nt have bought this. Oh, and it might help if the buttons were labelled or the instruction book added the icons displayed on the machine.
A good cassette player for the price.
