In the backcountry, where ounces and cubic inches count, the Crux Lite with Terra Solo Cook System from Optimus offers efficient cooking power in a compact, lightweight package. The Crux Lite stove generates 10,200 BTU and burns for up to 90 minutes on an 8.1 oz / 230g canister of propane, butane or isobutane gas (sold separately). It will boil a liter of water in approximately three minutes, depending on altitude and conditions. The flame is fully adjustable – turn it all the way up for a fast boil or back it off to simmer.
The Terra Solo cookware includes a 22.1 / 0.6L hard-anodized aluminum saucepan with pouring lip and metric and Imperial measuring marks, along with a small frying pan that doubles as a lid. The assembled kit measures 5.4 x 4.2" and weighs just 9.5 oz. When packed, it has ample room to carry a 3.5 oz / 100g fuel canister, an Optimus Crux or Crux Lite stove and an Optimus Folding Spork.
