Our old Nighthawk stopped functioning so we bought a new one. This one seems faster than the last one. Support was helpful in connecting my printer. Happy so far!

I thought this would be a better up grade from my previous motorola cable modem. The netgear nighthawk kicks you off your wifi for no reason, causing you to log on to your network over and over. The box is constantly buffering making watching TV annoying. I am not sure what the problem is or how to fix it since this is a new modem. For the amount of money I paid this should not be happening. Very dissatisfied and disappointed.

i also have a netgear nighthawk ac 1750 wifi router connected to my old modem for wider range can i connect to this one or do i still need it?

I would use the current router that I have the AC 1750 as a range extender you can attach it real easy to the AC 1900 and get more coverage and a little bit better bandwidth.
