K 240 Studio Professional Semi-Open Stereo Headphones is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 125.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound I've been using the k240 as my daily driver for a while now, from gaming to video media and music. All i have is praise for the k240s. It has a great fit that doesn't bother my rather big and sensitive ears at all, I'm talking a 7 hour gaming session and forgetting I have them on. The sound is fantastic the semi open back cups give the highs Crystal clarity and provides lows with a unique timbre I hadn't been exposed to prior. If you're iffy about purchasing these due to It's low price tag which can be associated with bad quality, Don't be! I can assure you, you will be happy with your purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just a beautiful product! Unlike many consumer grade headphones, these do not overemphasize the base. Instead they deliver a wonderfully flat response curve that lets you hear the music as it was recorded. I understand now why the K240 is often consider to be a standard in many recording studios. As impressive as the sound was, it may surpassed by the comfort of these headphones. I could wear these 12 hours a day and not fatigue. These are also a great value as they are half the price of the newer K240 Mk II. My only disappointment is that Harmon has shifted manufacturing out of Austria, and they are now made in China.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still sound great. Though I still have a pair of the old school Austrian AKG K-240 headphones I bought around 1985 that I still love the sound on, I wanted a pair with 55ohm resistance and a 3.5mm mini plug that I could use on my portable equipment. Out of the box, there seems to be a lot more bass (although maybe that is the result of the lower resistance?) The new ones sound very good, but not quite as clear in the midrange. I will have to burn these in for a few hundred hours as some people recommend then do another compare. But unless you flip back and forth, they both sound excellent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Crisp, Clean, Cans These headphones are great! They give a very true sound providing accurate feedback and response from your audio source. At this price point they cannot be beat! I use them for mixing & mastering as I cannot yet afford a decent set of Monitors and for the time being they have greatly improved my mixing. I hear nuances in my own music that I simply could not hear with other headphones or speakers. When I sit down to make music I spend hours and hours at my keyboard and as such I need a set of cans that will be comfortable for the duration. I have no complaints with the comfortability of the cans. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sounding pro-headphone I bought this headphone from B&H at a discount price and was amazed at its sound quality. Even its standart price is a bargain for this sound quality. It is one of the best headphones I have used. The sound quality is precise and very satifying. Wearing it for hours (which I need to do during my recording sessions in the studio) is not tiring. Its physical presence (on my ear) and audio doesn't disturb me (like some lower quality headphones). Sound insulation is just right for my needs. Excellent frequency responce, definitely fun to work with. A must for any serious audio fan/pro. I will be purchasing a second one for my studio.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clear, Focused, and Comfortable! I have been using a pair of Bose AE headphone for a number of years so I was not sure what to expect. After I got them on for the first time the audio was clear and everything sounded wonderful. Now I am still getting used to them and breaking them in but so far they are wonderful. Now just to let people know, because of there simi open design, you will hear a lot more of the room. If you are in a noisy environment you will need to increase you volume. You may also want to invest in a quality headphone amp. Other then that these are a great investment for any studio.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True Classic These are my go to headphones when I watch TV late at night. I have many different Headphones.... These are so neutral and flat that you know they are giving you a real idea of what the engineers did in the studio. You can really play them very loud... and they just cruise along. Comfortable too. If you use them with an IPhone they play OK... but I find they really need more power to work for me. Very smooth accurate sound... great in all ranges... no fatigue whatsoever... but you should have them in a real amp... any decent receiver should be fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great for the price These are great headphones at the price point. Although your not going to get a particularly flat response, or particularly good isolation, these things are versatile and sound great! The semi open design makes them great for when I mix and want to reference on headphones, so as to reduce fatigue, however in a tracking environment the bleed isn't so bad. Wouldn't use it to track drums, but a keyboardist halfway across the room wont bleed into the room mic's to bad. for anyone starting out in a home studio and needs a pair of headphones for referencing your mix but your budget can't accommodate, these are a good choice
