The Cubix Win2U Rackmount 8 5U consists of a HostEngine 2U Computer that connects to an Xpander Rackmount 8 5U PCIe Enclosure. Both chassis are rack mountable, rugged, and low-profile.

The Xpander Rack Mount 8 PCIe Enclosure supports one/two server connections with up to eight discrete, dual-slot PCIe x16 (gen 3) graphics cards per system. This enables parallel calculations separate from the server, enhanced system reliability, performance, and flexibility. The enclosure has two Main Interface Boards (MIBs) with four PCIe x16 slots each for a total of eight double-wide GPUs like NVIDIA Quadro, Tesla or Grid Series, AMD FirePro W9100 / S9100, or accelerators like Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors. It comes configured with two NVIDIA GTX 980 and one AMD FirePro W2100 graphics cards.

The HostEngine 2U comes with 16GB of RAM and one 500GB SATA3 SSD, but supports up to 1TB of RAM and a 2TB SATA3 SSD. It has four PCIe x16 (gen 3) expansion slots for low-profile cards such as the Cubix HIC that connects to Xpander. The system is loaded with Windows 8.1 Pro and Cubix GPU Manager to monitor the health and performance of both the GPUs and Xpander.
