A sleek and unique device allowing you to capture 360° stills and full HD movies with a single click, the Theta S from Ricoh features updated imaging components and performance attributes for producing broad-field imagery in a variety of ways. Dual 12MP 1/2.3" image sensors pair with bright f/2 twin lenses in order to capture high-resolution spherical images with each exposure, and a sensitivity range from ISO 100-1600 is available for working in a various lighting conditions. Automated exposure settings are used for both stills and video recording, or manual settings can be employed when shooting stills for extended exposure times up to one minute long.

Can the Ricoh USB cable, supplied with the Ricoh Theta S, be extended with a standard USB extension cable to reach the Ricoh CA-3 remote shutter switch? I would like to hold the Theta S high overhead for some photos.
The supplied USB has a trickle charge according to Ricoh customer support. I had problems using other USB cables and adding an extension might be problematic for you. Best advice to contact Ricoh customer support and my experience was good with them. Using a selfie stick might help, too. Good luck!

Tripod that will also allow USB and HDMI to plug in? There's not much room there.
Search this site for matthews microgrip rod - any of them (including the 4 ) will give you the room to add cabling to this while on a tripod/other mount.
