The USB 3.1 Dual-Bay Dock for 2.5"/3.5" SATA SSDs/HDDs from Startech provides users with a convenient way to access data on an internal SATA drive without needing to install that drive in their computer. Using this dock's dual SATA III 6 Gb/s drive bays, each of which supports 2.5" and 3.5" drives, users can access data on hard drives and solid-state drives using 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 connectivity, which is also known as USB 3.1 Gen 2. This drive dock is equipped with a USB 3.1 Type-B connector and is able to interface with your host system using its included USB 3.1 Type-B to Type-A cable. In addition to USB 3.1 compatibility, this unit is also compatible with USB 3.0 at speeds up to 5 Gb/s, USB 2.0 at speeds up to 480 Mb/s, and USB 1.1 at speeds up to 12 Mb/s. Given this wide range of compatibility, as well as its OS-independent architecture, the USB 3.1 Dual-Bay Dock can connect to virtually any system with a USB Type-A port, while its compatibility with SATA III 6 Gb/s, SATA II 3 Gb/s, and SATA 1.5 Gb/s drives mean that it supports most available storage solutions. Also included with this drive dock is a universal power adapter and four power adapter plugs for North America, the EU, UK, and Australia.
