DJI CP.NZ.000001 Overview

DJI introduces the all-in-one form factor of the Naza series flight controllers to the electric helicopter market with the NAZA-H Flight Control System. The NAZA-H's main controller (MC) incorporates a damping system, 3-axis gyroscope, 3-axis accelerometer, and a barometric altimeter into a single module. Separate from the MC are an LED indicator that can be positioned for optimal visibility and provides the micro-USB interface for configuration and firmware updates. The NAZA-H is suitable for 450 to 700 size electric helicopters.

Note: This does not support multi-rotor aircraft. It is for electric helicopters only.

All-in-One Design
NAZA-H inherits the all-in-one design of previous Naza series of autopilot systems. It contains inner damping, controllers, a 3-axis gyroscope, a 3-axis accelerometer, and a barometer within the main controller. This integration aims to simplify installation as well as save space and weight. It is firmware updatable over the Internet
Built-In Tail Gyro / Flybarless Support
The high-performance FBL (flybarless) system is specially designed for model enthusiasts, specifically for hard 3D flight. The system is designed to meet the requirements of the novice and professional pilot alike, allowing you to set different flight styles anytime you want. Advanced functions include pirouette compensation and auto trim
Supports a Range of Helicopter Sizes
NAZA-H is suitable for a variety of electric helicopter platforms from small to large, such as 450, 500, 600, and 700 size. Additionally, the Naza-H supports different swashplate types. On top of the six most commonly used types of swashplate, users can also use virtual swashplate rotation to fine-tune the helicopter's characteristics
Real-Time Voltage Monitoring
NAZA-H can measure the servo voltage and can also measure the flight battery voltage if the helicopter also uses the separately available DJI BEC. Users can set a safe voltage threshold according to their usage, when the voltage is lower than the preset voltage, the main controller will raise an alarm through the LED indicator
Advanced Attitude and Control Algorithm
NAZA-H has inherited the stability technology of DJI autopilot systems. It combines GPS (GPS module available separately), a 6-DoF inertial measurement unit, a magnetic field meter, and a barometric altimeter with advanced autonomy. Its control algorithms improve accuracy, even in high-vibration and high-mobility environments, to help ensure stable flight and with a high degree of control precision
Optional GPS Module
The plug-and-play Naza-H GPS module (available separately) can be employed to provide the flight controller accurate positioning. With the GPS Module, NAZA-H can have the longitude, latitude, and altitude locked even in windy conditions to achieve precise hovering within a small area
Multiple Flight Control Modes with Intelligent Switching
NAZA-H offers three control modes:
  • GPS Attitude Mode (requires separately available GPS module)
  • Attitude Mode
  • Manual Mode
The pilot can toggle between modes using the transmitter
S.Bus Support
NAZA-H supports both ordinary receivers and Futaba S.Bus receivers. An S.Bus receiver uses only one servo cable to connect S.Bus and the NAZA-H, utilizing seven channels of the receiver. The installation is kept neater due to less wiring
Independent LED Module
Provides visual indication of the flight status and is designed so that it can be mounted where it will be most readable. It generates real-time flight information feedback by varying LED flashing frequency and color. In addition, the module has a USB interface, which can be used to connect the NAZA-H to a computer for firmware updates and accessing advanced settings
Updated Assistant Software
The user interface of the assistant software has been comprehensively updated so that instructions will automatically appear, and on the left of each menu section there is detailed introduction to that section. NAZA-H firmware can be upgraded online
