Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini Overview

Connect Quad-Link SDI sources to 12G-SDI equipment with the Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini Quad SDI to SDI 12G Converter. Housed in a low-profile sleek black enclosure, this Teranex Mini Converter fits in studio and post-production workflows without disrupting the decor. While the functionality of this unit may be obvious, connecting the unit via Ethernet enables you to use the included control software to complete control and make adjustments to fit your needs. As an additional option, a front panel controller with a built-in confidence monitor can be purchased separately. DIP switch controls are also available behind the front panel flap.

Quad-Link and 12G-SDI protocols support high resolution video including DCI and UHD 4K as well as HD and SD signals. Automatic input signal detection acknowledges the signal resolution and configures the input accordingly. 24-bit 48 kHz broadcast-quality audio is supported.

Yes, you can convert an SDI signal to optical fiber using the Mini Converter, and use the Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini Optical to HDMI 12G Converter on the other end to receive the signal and convert it to HDMI output, and vice versa. You cannot. this devise will just send to multiple destinations. compression must be adjusted in camera in order to send a 3g signal if camera is capable of doing so.

Yes it can as long as the video resolution/frame rate that you are sending into this product is supported by 3G SDI.

No, the Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini SDI to HDMI 8K Converter and Monitoring Solution will accept a single input. The four SDI inputs on this device are used to gang four SDI connections for 8K monitoring.
