Did not work for Ronin-M and light-duty use!

I settled on this mount after extensive research for a monitor mount for my Ronin-M.� I use a SmallHD 701 Lite (7" monitor) and it doesn't even begin to approach the weight limit for this mount.� I'm pretty ticked that a $99 mount like this lasted less than a year, with me doing only about 15-18 weddings with it (very light-duty style use, I don't do anything extreme w/ my Ronin). I was enamored with the quick-release function, which is something I did not see on other monitor mounts.� The quick-release plate works good on it's own, but the main part of this mount DOES NOT. I contacted GyroVu directly within a few days of having this mount, as the little steel ball inside the tightening post came out (because I had unscrewed the red tightening handle all the way, and you're not supposed to do that).� The GyroVu tech support was decent (they seem to be a Russian/Ukrainian owned company, which I have zero problem with, it was just difficult working with the heavy accent).� They instructed me how to fix it at that time, and it seemed to hold.� Gradually, it became looser and looser, and I've been unable to tighten it (my SmallHD monitor just flops around on it).� Last week at a wedding it reached a point where I just simply ripped this mount off, and threw it in the trash.� The red tightening handle would no longer insert/turn into the black post (the threads wouldn't go in right), and there were metal shavings everywhere when I first opened it up to take it off my Ronin. I'm a super careful kind of guy with all of my equipment, and keep $15,000+ worth of video gear in pristine condition.� So believe me when I say I tried to work with this piece, and make it work for my Ronin.� But in the end, it simply didn't and I am certain I handled it correctly, and never pushed it beyond it's limits.� So this is not a negative rant/rave type of review.� I'm simply extremely frustrated at the lack of quality compared to the price I paid for this.� Will never buy from GyroVu again.� I'm going with either a SmallRig or CAMVATE clamp next, and hoping for the best.

I have read around and have heard reviews stating that this unit does not contain screws long enough to attach to a Ronin-MX bar. Will this product mount without needing to purchase an additional pack of long screws?

GyroVu does not list this mount as compatible with the MX. Any adaptation is on your own and out of warranty. GyroVu does list this different but similar purpose mount for the MX. It is less expensive. GyroVu 7 Heavy-Duty Articulated Arm Mount for DJI Ronin-M/MX & FREEFLY MoVI (Quick Release) B&H # GYGVPMMA7HQ.

Is mounting it to the Ronin M relatively quick and easy, tool-less? How does it lock in place after sliding on?

Mounting will be quick and easy. It does have screws on it though, that way you can adjust the Monitor Mount and hold it securely in place after it is installed.

Will this mount fit a MOZA Lite 2 with a FreeWorld Monitor attached?

Just make sure that the ROD size is equal to the bracket size diameter. I needed to adapt the one I bought because I didn't pay attention to the specs for the max ROD size. Once it's installed it's pretty steady and does what it's supposed to. Good Luck .. SLR

Hello! I just bought one of these. I can't seem to figure out how to get the ball head to stand still, its always loose. Is there a way to tighten it up?

Will this hold an Odyssey 7Q and Sony LP battery?

I use this mount on my Ronin-M with a Atomos Ninja Asassin that has the large Sony camcorder batts powering it and the mount has zero issues. Hope that helps.
