Tripod Plate 70 Quick Release Plate (70mm) is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems to work as Advertised My wife just got a 1DX and needed a tripod plate. The quick-release plate uses the T-1 type screw to hold it in. Hoping that will prove to be a dependable tripod plate. She hasn't decided yet if she wants to move to a BlackRapid stap. It would be super simple if she does decide to go that way. I will also get her Op/Tech System Connector Uni-Loop for added protection if she does. She can mount that to the bottom of the camera and to the strap so, for some reason the plate screw releases, she doesn't damage her expensive gear. Cannot say how reliable it is yet. It looks well built.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent This is an excellent plate. It works on my D750 with grip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Solution I am very happy with this product as it allows me to safely connect my Black Rapid strap to my camera but have easy disconnection and mount on my Arca-Swiss style Ball Head. Works very well. I intend to use blue loctite to secure connection between plate and collar on my Nikon 200-500mm lens.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Won't fit a Vanguard BH-100 head LIke others have noted, this plate is well made but pricey. I used the original BlackRapid strap for years but as I use a tripod fairly often, got tired of switching out the BR connector and the tripod QR plate. I thought this would be a near-perfect solution, but this plate floats around in my Vanguard BH-100 ball head. Maybe my low rating should go to the Vanguard head, but in any event, this plate won't work and I'll need to return it - I may end up having to return the BR Breathe Curve I purchased with it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Black rapids quick release plate. The plate is as good as most other plates. It has a metal loop ring on bottom to allow fastening to Black Rapids Strap and tripod. What I was hoping it could do is allow the tripod-plate -camera to be hooked up while still having the strap attached to camera it does not.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it is supposed too but not perfect. This plate does what it is supposed to do. It connects well without slipping to my camera, it works well with my MeFoto Globetrotter, and my Black Rapid strap connects as it should. 70mm length not an issue with the 60mm size receiver on the head. One note I would make is that the stops on the two ends to inhibit sliding are not as deep as on the original plate or the Breakthrough replacement. They work to allow repositioning without releasing the camera but the clamp must be tighter than required by my other plates. My only real wish would be that the strap could remain attached while using this on the tripod. I tried to find other alternatives (this plate is so expensive) and may have found one with the Joby Ultraplate. I am trying that next and it may be a better solution for me (certainly a much cheaper one).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I don't use it There is one critical weakness in this plate. It fits and attaches to the camera just fine, but the loop that you would attach the Black Rapid hook to is allowed to flop around. It's not dissimilar to threading a needle while blowing on it. It is very frustrating - especially to take it off. I bought a Fusion Photo plate to replace this. I don't use it at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It Works It works for what it's intended, and it's great to be able to quickly go from strap to camera. It feels well machined and is lighter than I expected, which is a bonus. It does seem a bit expensive, but then again most plates do.
