    HP M426FDW reviews

LaserJet Pro M426fdw All-in-One Monochrome Laser Printer is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small but POWERFUL We purchased this printer for our first floor to print for 4 workstations creating invoices and general customer service requests (average use of employees 1,000 pages per month). When we first received the printer I was initially concerned as the product is fairly small and has a shallow print tray (the area where the printed pages come out). However after roughly two weeks of use we are extremely confident that this printer will outperform any job we throw at it and will last for the long-run. In addition we purchased the black/white only version to conserve on ink cost. We highly recommend this product. Print tray Capacity: 100-200 pages Speed: Accurate as HP description provides

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really buggy We only have Macbooks in our office and we've previously used HP multifunction printer/scanner that worked really well. For our new office we decided to get the LaserJet Pro MFP M426fdw. Since day one it has just been trouble, we have to print like 3-4 times to get something out. Most of the time the printer won't accept our jobs. For each firmware update it gets worse. We've tried having it connected through ethernet, wireless but it works best when connected directly via USB. Our office window will soon see the horrible piece of equipment pass out through it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent printer This printer has everything we were looking for, it is fast, print quality is excellent, and it has a small footprint. Our last HP was also good but heavy with a large footprint. There is a short learning curve to understand all the features but otherwise it is pretty straight forward. We had one problem at first, the paper tray has no stop feature when pulling it out to add paper. I dropped the tray breaking some plastic on it and had to get a new printer. Fortunately it happened within a few days of buying and it was covered under warranty. It does need some kind of stop mechanism so this doesn't happen again or to other users.Otherwise it is an excellent printer. I highly recommend it if you don't need color printing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Both pros & cons Ordered printer & paper tray 3. Rec'd 1/13/17. Connected wirelessly, but not via USB on W10 computer & wouldn't fax directly from computer, only manually. After jumping through MANY time-consuming HP support required hoops unsuccessfully, HP support FINALLY agreed to do a hands-on twice & the problem was finally solved 2/10/17. Solution: With W10 computer, driver for previous model must be used instead of driver for this model. Printing is fast & the HP quality I've always been accustomed to. Faxing now works both manually and directly from computer. Copying has some issues. There's an app. 1/4" blind space on all edges, and copying a store type receipt can only be done using the flatbed, not auto feed. Scanning is substandard & very slow. You can't control the dpi. Bottom line: If you're looking for a printer to double your printing speed and cut toner cost/pg. in half, this is the printer for you, plus it faxes great manually and from computer. I score copying at a 6 out of 10, and scanning at a 2 out of 10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This LaserJet puts the Pro in Professional... I purchased this printer for my office, and it functions extremely well. It's fast, has a multitude of features, and helps me be more productive. This, coupled with the extra 550 sheet paper tray, is the ultimate personal office printer. I have it connected to the wireless network so I can print from anywhere in the surrounding area. The web services means I can print things to my office remotely. This printer is packed with features and is a great buy!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is a piece of junk printer This is a piece of junk printer. I've had it for 2 hours now and I'm so frustrated with it I'm ready to throw it out the window. Gives constant errors, will print three good prints then starts ghosting anything beyond. It will always prints the first 3 ok, then it stops, thinks for about 10 seconds and prints everything super fast with ghosting images. DON'T attempt to update the paper size for the printer, just leave it as "Any size" if you make the mistake I did and update the paper size you won't be able to print more than 1 page at a time. It will then prompt you to make sure you really want to print that size page for each and every page you print. It won't accept you changing it back to any size at that point, nope, you made your bed now you have to sleep in it. Anyways, this is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought from HP, considering switching to a different brand if they put out this kind of garbage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ADF scanning only 300dpi HP is advertising this as a 1200dpi scanner. When using the auto document feeder it is only 300dpi. This same limitation will apply to copying. The TWAIN interface is very poor and the HP scanning software is almost non-existent. There are only jpep and pdf options with no way to set compression level.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my printer I purchased my new printer on 7/29/16 and I absolutely love it. I was not able to connect by wireless because my scanning utility would not work properly. I connected by usb and it works great with that connection. I can't print from my cell phone but hardly ever use that so it's okay. I highly recommend this printer.
