The OWL Drop-In Filter Adapter from DEO-Tech lets you use a Canon EF lens on a Sony E-Mount camera. This adapter can mount onto any Canon EF lens that may be unable to accept a conventional filter to the front, including ultra-wide, fisheye, or super-telephoto lenses. The Owl lens adapter attaches to the rear of the lens instead of the front and accepts all 52mm filters, eliminating the need for different size filters for different lenses. This adapter also serves to protect the image sensor from dust, water, and oil by positioning the filter inside the adapter, in front of the sensor. The adapter provides a secure and solid camera-to-lens connection, and features a removable Arca-type compatible tripod foot.
When using full-frame format camera lenses on camera bodies with smaller APS-C sensors, the lenses will have an effective focal length increase of 1.5x. This is a manual adapter and does not support lens functions that rely on electronic communication from the camera.
