  • 1Description

Arista's EDU Ultra 200 Black and White Negative Film is a traditional panchromatic film that is optimized for use in a range of shooting conditions. It has a fine grain with high sharpness as well as a wide exposure latitude that make is a useful film for most environments. It has a nominal sensitivity of ISO 200/24° when developed in standard black and white chemistry, and responds well to push processing. EDU Ultra is a flexible film type that is ideally suited for use in general photographic applications.

This item is one 24-exposure roll of 35mm format film. This film is not supplied in a DX-coded cassette, requiring users to manually set ISO on their camera.

Arista Ultra 200 reviews

EDU Ultra 200 Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 24 Exposures) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great contrast and I love the noise! This is a review coming from a non-know-it-all, untrained tinkerer of photos. I read some phenomenal reviews about this film, so I picked up a few rolls. And I LOVE it! Even the guy who develops my film made a comment today about how wonderful the contrast is. Looking forward to buying more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't think, just buy it! I have used this film in multiple cameras ranging from Nikons (F, FE, FG) to a Lomography La Sardina. The results have always been very nice. The grain structure is very noticeable (at least in my shots), but I find it very pleasant... it has a nice old-school look to it. I was a little nervous with it being one of the cheapest options, but I am very happy with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great, flat, high contrast black and white film! I have been shooting my way through as many film stocks to find subtle strengths in each that I can lean on creatively; this is my first roll from arista, and I quite like it. I make certain to use the same black and white chemicals to develop and only vary my films. This film shows a decent amount of grain on images that have a constant spread such as the sky without clouds, but it isn't necessarily displeasing to the eye. The contrast is great, dark and light just like how you saw the image before you snapped the shutter. The images on my roll came out very flat, but in a way I appreciated, almost like a compressor can subtly fine tune a whole audio mix together. Either way, I was pleasantly suprised and I'll add it to my shopping cart anytime.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Czeching out a New Film I have just started using this film, hoping to find a replacement for the late, lamented Plus-X. So far, I have exposed the film at an EI of 125 and processed it in 1:50 Adonal/Rodinal. Negatives seem sharp and full-toned, and the early scans are encouraging. I will reserve judgment (and a 5th star) until I've done some darkroom printing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 200 ISO B&W film, fantastic! Nice to have 200 iso B&W film available. It has great contrast and fun to use because it scans well.
