Dedicated to the Interfit S1-series of monolights, this S1 TTL Remote permits wireless TTL control over the light when working with Canon cameras. It supports the Canon E-TTL II protocol and permits working with three distinct groups (A,B, and C) for creative flexibility and greater control over lighting ratios. The remote is designed to be mounted via the camera's hot shoe and enables control over the S1 monolights from up to 300' away. Users will appreciate features such as control of audible recycle beep and LED modeling lamp, and sync speeds up to 1/8000 second.

    Interfit TTL-C reviews

S1 TTL Remote for Canon is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Simple and easy - when it works! The first unit of the remote did not communicate with the S1 Interfit monolight at all. Manufacturer send a replacement unit and that worked just fine. It has clear function buttons and a screen that is readable even outdoors (unlike the much more expensive Canon remote for its Speedlite flashes). It is simple to use for the manual and TTL functions, management of the model light, and test flashes. When using TTL the flash power dials seem to be without effect. So unfortunately the TTL flashing cannot be manually fine-tuned from the remote. I cannot comment on the durability of the remote, since I have used it only a few times. The hot-shoe is plastic only and lacks metal enforcements as some other professional hot-shoes provide.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Update usb cord plug in is poorly made. I opened the box and went to check for updates. I read the instruction booklet. I am familiar with the micro usb plug in and examined the direction to put the cord in. It broke and fell inside the unit. I wasnt happy but felt ok after some test to use it for a job.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really solid remote I use this with my S1s almost every other day, needless to say that it's a great remote and i wouldn't change anything from it. but when the modelling light is on and you put your flash to 'temporary switched off' from the remote and switch it back on (from the remote), the modeling light doesn't switch back on.. maybe a firmware update could fix this? I wouldn't know Bottom line is that this is a great and solid product, i would 100% give this one a thumbs up to everyone who asks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Could be designed better, but works fine. The S1 TTL Remote for Canon came bundled with a S1 Strobe unit. It works as described, but I have to give it only 4 stars because of it's design/construction. The smaller buttons on the unit that control the plus or minus power settings seem to be undersized or... the hole that they are in is oversized. Several times the buttons have become stuck under the faceplate and I have had to wiggle them around to free them up. It doesn't hurt anything, it just makes the power setting zoom higher or lower that you want until you can free up the button. The overall build seems on the cheap side. I'd recommend getting one because you need one to operate the S1 at a distance, but if you are using manual mode and have access to the S1 all the time, get some transmitter that just triggers the S1 and hook it to the PC Synch cable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not compatible with Mark iv 5d? This works well with my Mark ii 5d. Shortly after purchasing it, I bought a Mark iv and it does not function correctly with it. I've upgraded the firmware on the camera, light, and transmitter and no luck. The worst part is that I emailed the manufacturer and did not get a response...disappointing. Thank goodness I still have my Pocket Wizards, but it would have been nice to control the light with this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I don't really need it Battery runs out very fast

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works in studio, or on location! I'm fortunate to have Einstein's, Phottix, and Interfit's as a part of my professional studio equipment. I routinely have as many as (8-10) Interfit lights in use for an all day shoot involving several models and backdrops. The short answer is that they work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again Really love this remote. Works well and it's nice to control the power from the camera and not have to run around to each light.
