The Kirk LS-2 Lens Support is a quick release lens support designed to be used with the Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR or Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS lens. When using the LS-2 on the Nikon lens, it must be paired with the NC-200-500V2 lens collar. When using it with the Sony lens it must be paired with the LP-68 lens collar. The LS-2 stabilizes the lens and reduces shifting when you loosen the lens collar to rotate the camera. It is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and has stainless steel bearings and bolts.

Kirk LS-2 Reviews
Works great, easy to use
I use it on my simplified video camera rig. In most cases I tend to use the lens support compatible with 15mm LWS rod systems, but sometimes I need a solution that is lightweight, fast and easy to mount and allows to put the whole camera rig on the ground flatwise. I installed The Kirk lens support on a Manfrotto-style quick release plate with arca-style rails on top. The Kirk LS-2 can support the FE70200GM and Tamron 35150 on the FS5 very well. The only complaint is that the adjustability range is very small, but this is not a design flaw, it's just me using it in a place it was not originally designed for.
Great supplement to Kirk lens collar
This ingenious device makes a great addition to the Kirk lens collar, and is easy to adjust to contact at the end of the lens's zoom ring. Small rollers allow easy turning of the zoom ring with this in place, and you can even add a little drag if you think your zoom turns too easily. Adds noticeable support for the length of the 200-500 zoom in landscape or portrait mode if you're just turning the camera within the lens collar. Gimbal users YMMV.
