Designed to match the AK380 in both appearance and function, the meteoric titan/black PAF11 Headphone Amplifier from Astell&Kern features a built-in 9-hour rechargeable battery, similar to that of the AK380. It features an 1/8" headphone jack and a 2.5mm balanced out, and charges via a micro-USB port.
High Gain
The AK380 AMP supports 8.1 VRMS output when connected via high-gain balanced output. This high-gain output is nearly four times greater than the low-gain output (2.1 VRMS via the unbalanced output) and supports high-impedance headphones. To protect earphones/headphones during high output, the volume is automatically adjusted when the amp is powered on or the earphones/headphones are disconnected. Furthermore, the gain can be easily adjusted via the AK380's settings.
3400mAh Large-capacity Battery
The AK380 AMP features a 3400mAh battery - identical to the one in the AK380 itself - to support up to nine hours of continuous unbalanced-output playback. Please note that the AK380 AMP battery will not provide power to the AK380.
Enhanced Convenience
The AK380 and AK380 AMP can charge simultaneously. A separate cable is not required thanks to its integrated design, and it features an easy connection via the screw cap. Integrated volume control via the AK380 is also provided.
Integrated Design
The AK380 AMP was designed as an extension of the light-and-shadow theme of the AK380. The diamond pattern engraved into the volume wheel of AK380 is repeated on the amplifier's rear light for design continuity. The area of the amplifier in contact with the AK380's volume wheel reproduces the design's angle of reflection for comfortable wheel operation. The amplifier's light shining through the gaps in the reflected surface is designed to visually accentuate the player. The wheel on the rear of the amplifier that connects the two devices is a representation of the volume wheel seen on the AK380.
