Can this go well with the smallhd 702 touch monitor?
The Hoodman HAV1 Drone Aviator Hood for iPad mini, DJI CrystalSky 7.85" will not fit the SmallHD 702. For use with the SMALLHD702 monitor, consider the (Hoodman Sun Hood for TVLogic 7" Camera Monitors BH #HOTL74 • MFR #TL74) for a better fit.

Can the iPad mini still be inserted into the Mavic controller arms with the HAV1 on the ipad?
This hood rests on the front surface of the ipad so its slightly smaller than the front of the ipad. Since the mavic arms cover the top two corners of the ipad, this hood would not rest properly on the ipad if it was used this way. I use it on an ipad mini 4 along with the mavmount which is a plate/ballhead/ipad mount.
