The external multi-bay S-35EX tower is designed especially for storage applications. Perfect for my needs

As with another reviewer I used this to create an external eSATA cabinet for my BD Drive, DVD drive and multi-card reader since my new case has no front 5 1/2” bays. I installed a CoolGear 4 port internal to external eSATA to SATA passthrough (available at other popular vendors) and an ARESGAME AGV500 power supply. All worked out perfectly. One suggestion to the Mfr would be to install a click power button instead of a moment switch or give the option. Without a motherboard in there it’s not possible to manage the power without having the case cover unscrewed and removable.

Morphed Bluray Drive Enclosure

I got this to house 3 bluray drives for a specific need of transferring a lot of old backups on bluray/dvd disks back to hard drives. I added a full size power supply to the back, mounted via the power supplies fan screws. I got sata to usb adapters connected to a 3 port usbc hub for the data and powered the drives via the PS. Right now just have the hub usbc going out the back, but have adapters ordered to use the front plugs. Worked great for transferring 20+ spindles of ~50 disks each back to a couple of 16tb hard drives.

will this be able to house an enclosure ( Icy Dock MB455SPF-B 5 Bays SATA II Enclosure (needs 3 5.25 bay opening )? it may seem like a 'duh read the description question, but I am just verifying

This is actually not a 'duh' question, but a very prudent one. I do not believe the enclosure would fit an enclosure inside as all of the existing mounting hardware in those drive bays will impede you from adding a box inside.
