    Yongnuo Yn 622N reviews

i-TTL Transceiver YN622N II for Nikon Cameras (2-Pack) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 56.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap but flawed The Yongnuo is very cheap, no discussion about that. First issue is that it only fires about 2/3 of the time. This is very annoying! The interface is unintuitive, not to say confusing. For some reason the AF assist beam started to go of yesterday, causing distractions and a crazy shutter lag. It was impossible to figure out how to turn it off without consulting the manual (which by the way is not the most clearly written instruction). According to the manual, it is supposed to wake up the flash when in stand-by. This does not work for me. Note, I did not buy my copy from B&H.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well but hopeless manual Product works fine, does what you'd expect and at a good price. The three stars is because of the instruction manual which has got to be one of the most poorly written documents I've ever seen. Not only is the print microscopic, but the grammar and sentence structure leaves one continually trying to figure out what the manufacturer is trying to say.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Flawlessly I've only been using them for 2 weeks but the integraded seemlessly with the nikon ITTL system. Highspeed sync works great. I'm using 3 Yongnuo speedlights as well as an sb-900. I don't know about longevity, but I'll update this review in a month or so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hair Loss Remedy Being fairly new to using flash of any sort, I bought a bunch of yongnuo speed lights. Because I am new to this I didn't realize just how difficult it would be to use the speed light while inside an umbrella type soft box. I would try to shoot portraits with the speed light inside of the soft box and pull my hair trying to figure out why it wasn't working. Once I added these receivers all puzzlement vanished. I was worried as I was playing with them upon receiving them that there was a delay when I hit the test button and when it would flash. The delay was less than a second but it still worried me. When i put it in the hot shoe all delay disappeared and i was presented with some great pictures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great as intended So far this has served me for what I had planned on. I got this along with the YN685 flash and the YN622N-TX. If you are planning to trigger just the 685, then you don't need these, since 685 has a built-in receiver. These works great with any other flash that has TTL. I have a Nikon sb600 on one, and a sunpak 3600u on another, and I am able to trigger them using the 622TX. I did not have the money to spend on the pocketwizards, so I thought of going for this as a great alternate solution, as you can easily control pretty much all functions of all the flashes from the 622TX console.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Great as Receiver w YN622N-TX Transmitter Tested as a receiver for Nikon SB-910 speedlight and paired with a YN622N-TX as transmitter on a Nikon D5. Worked great using TTL!! Then tested as a remote shutter control for the Nikon D5 using the YN622N-TX as receiver. Connected YN622N-TX to the camera, as per instructions. Unfortunately it did not work, which is consistent w the information provided by BH representative. Specifically purchased the YN622NII to upgrade; however, this feature also was not successful. Key objective was to accomplish using SB-910 as a remote objective for the D5, which was successful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good product but instructions are just plain dumb Never used transceivers before so needed instructions for setup. Guide is translated from Chinese by a non-native speaking translator. For example, the quick start guide says to loose the button---but that's just part of it. Would make a good Sat Night Live skit! Whenever you have buttons that are dual function and non-intuitive and need to be depressed simultaneously or in sequence to perform a function, you need instructions. This company is a good one and they produce lots of prods for English speaking countries---why not spent a very few bucks and get a reasonable translation? I looked up YouTube videos but the models shown were different than mine--fortunately was able to figure it out. This took well over an hour and I'm not sure I'm using all its capabilities. P.S. B and H is great--terrific service and information.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price, works great Purchased this as a complete package for wireless, speedlites. Everything works as advertised and you get two of everything compared to the cost of just 1 brand name speed light. I used everything in manual mode so I can control the two groups depending on the setup or you can TTL and adjust from your camera. What's not to like?
