The button enhancement should just come with the camera because it does make a big difference. I got red because I film in dark spaces, hence the sony a7s camera but if you arn't worried about the visual button, the black version would do just fine for the feel you need.

This is a very simple and affordable product that performs a huge function: making it easy to start/stop video recording on many Sony mirrorless cameras which have an unintuitive and hard-to-find record button. I have purchased this is red and black, and I now prefer red because it's much more visible in a dark area. Installation is simple and durable and the product is very exactly manufactured to perform flawlessly. No more hunting with your fingers for the tiny recess. The one possible downside is that, with this ingenious device installed, it's possible to accidentally commence recording. That possibility is more than offset by the troubles the cameras present without this enhancement: not starting recording when you think you have, not being able to find the record button and missing an important shot, or rolling for 10 minutes after your shot, because you thought you shut it off when you didn't. I would highly recommend this product to anyone owning a Sony mirrorless camera. We have installed them on our A7S, 6000, and on two 6300s.
