From Manufacturer
Designed for professional field audio, the Timecode Systems :wave is a wired and wireless Timecode and Genlock clock source that can sync both video and audio sources to prevent timecode drift between multiple devices. Special LEMO connections in addition to a BNC connection allow the :wave to interface with traditional broadcast gear as well as other devices using separately available LEMO adapter cables. Connect the :wave to the BLINK Hub via Wi-Fi to remotely view, monitor, and control B:LINK-enabled devices from your network-connected mobile device, tablet, or computer.
Sync, Log, Control, and Report
The :wave directly supports Sound Devices 6-Series mixer/recorders, giving audio department users the ability to sync and share metadata and timecode via a separately available Sync cable from the :wave's data port to the USB port on a Sound Devices 6-Series mixer/recorder. This not only ensures all recorded sound files contain the same accurate timecode as the cameras, but also allows full exchange of metadata and opens the future capability to remotely monitor status and control, and wirelessly enable the mixer/recorder in the from the BLINK Hub. For even more advanced logging and reporting, a seamless exchange of data between Sound Devices' 6-Series mixer/recorders, the :wave and the MovieSlate 8 iOS app, allows users to connect to easily generate sound reports.
BLINK RF Sync
Synchronization between units is via BLINK RF—a wireless long-range sync, control and metadata exchange protocol operating in the un-congested range of 865 MHz to 923 MHz. This ensures a reliable connection, wherever you are, and zero drift between units even on long and complicated shooting days.
Compact and Robust Chassis
The :wave is encased in a small, yet solid, aluminum chassis and features a high resolution and easily readable blue OLED display. Flexible mounting methods with both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes and multiple powering options (5V micro USB connector, LEMO2 9-36V DC input, plus an internal back up battery) round out the exterior features of the :wave.
Battery Backup
An internal lithium-ion polymer battery is constantly in a state of charge when the :wave is plugged in. If the battery is activated due to external power loss, you can expect up to 8 hours of use before the unit must be plugged back in.
