This 1-stop, 4 x 5.65" NiSi Nano IRND Filter is an ND filter with a 2x filter factor that provides a 1-stop exposure reduction. Its 0.3 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed without overexposing your image. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters are intended to not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

is there a particular reason Nisi makes this density in 100x100mm and not 4x4? I need 8 stop ND to complement my Nisi IRND set
You can use 100x100 filters. 100x100 is the same as a 4x4 filter.
