You can even download new themes using the Google Play Store, which offers access to more than one million apps, games, books, music, movies, and more. Android 5.1 is the second version of the OS known as Lollipop. It takes the myriad improvements from Android 5.0-the "Material Design" visual overhaul, revamped multitasking, and multi-user support-and goes even further, adding official support for HD Voice and dual SIM cards, new security features such as Device Protection, and more.

Moto 00946NARTL reviews

Moto X Pure Edition 64GB Smartphone (Unlocked, White/Bamboo) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 253.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2015's Moto X Prime is a Great Value! Last year's model Moto - so what? The screen is bigger, the features are just as good, and the price is now cheaper than the 2016 models of Moto. The one downside is the lack of a fingerprint reader - but a pin number isn't that much of a bother. And you can get Moto X Pure to unlock by VOICE PHRASE! The Moto X Pure updates to Android 6.0, and works great. The unlocked feature (with the ability to use 2 sim cards allows for travel without roaming costs - if you properly pre-arrange.) Finally, the Moto X Prime's radios are very good. I get much better reception and no complaints about my calls dropping out - which I did on my Samsung Note 5.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quick charge, faster discharge. Before the bad things, it think it's fair to say that this device has an amazing screen. Brightness, saturation, resolution, color fidelity, everything it's exactly as it should, you will love it. The device runs smoothly, and only has difficult times when it's running some super demanding game, but it can deal with it pretty well. The sound of its stereo speakers is really loud, and has a good quality if you don't push them to the maximum volume. The camera is amazing in good light conditions, and in dark places it's not so good but has an acceptable level for its value. Now the big problem: battery. The phone would be amazing for its price if it didn't have such bad battery life. I'd to charge it even 4 times in the same day! If you're not a heavy user you can get to the end on the day without any problem, but if you play a video or play some game, the 2K LED screen will eat your battery in minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I give the Moto X Pure Edition an A- overall If you loved the first generation moto x, you will love this phone. What I like about this phone is the battery life is better. I get 12hrs out of moderate use. I love that I can use and delete any app I want because it is not loaded with bloatware from a phone carrier. It has the same moto gestures as the previous 2 generations of moto x. The only disappointment is the LCD screen because it whitewashes and it lacks in warmth of color. I think the camera is good. I would strongly recommend the larger 64gb. Hope this review helps you make up your mind. I know you will be happy with the moto x pure edition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still a viable option in 2017 To be really honest, this phone surprised me. It's two years old but still feels like a current phone. You would expect this phone to have a few slow downs, but I haven't noticed any. This phone is slated to get the Android Nougat update in the very near future. That was one of the selling points for me. Still, Marshmallow is a terrific operating system even without the impending update. I don't much care for the Motorola software, but that was easy enough to remove and I was able to install the google camera. This phone comes with a bumper that you can in stall. I was surprised at that. It seems well constructed. If you're not already planning on buying a case for your phone, this bumper ought to serve you well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from acceptable phone, good price. an ok phone. i think this is good as an interim phone but the google os support is not as robust as i would like. nougat not available as of 2017-03-07. so much for pure. at least not that many moto apps. am having an issue with the bluetooth headset connections (just started, no idea why) where after some period of working get a rapid fluttering then back to normal. i suspect something is trying to connect via some wireless system. my screen no longer works at a local retailer to pay with a barcode scan of screen. using NFC to pay (android pay) is a decent coin toss. some places is very good. others i have to unlock the phone twice to pay for something. no pattern to this behaviour.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Issues after Software Update from Lollipop to Marshmallow I purchase the Motorola Pure X 64GB, device was working great till new Android Software 6.0 came along, I had Excellent Battery life lasting almost 20 hours with Lollipop (Android 5.0) now my Battery life was cut more than half after new update and device is heating up, Bluetooth now has random issues connecting to my car stereo I have to power cycle device daily in other to connect, I'm also having MMS picture issues when receiving a MMS pictures, when I open MMS pictures they looks very small and hard to see. My last Trouble shooting I did 3 Hard Resets and this didn't resolve the issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent phone with a terrific screen and smooth operation I bought a new Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (unlocked) knowing it had been released 10 months earlier and was an aging model. I had been using a Samsung Galaxy S3, which was a considerably older model that still more-or-less met my needs. However, I shoot lots of video and was drawn to the Moto X's 4K video recording capability. Knowing I would shoot 4K video with the Motorola Moto X Pure Edition, I got one with 64GB of internal storage, and B&H Photo included a 64GB SD card at no extra charge -- nice! Once I got the phone, I downloaded Motorola's file transfer app to the old Samsung phone, connected both phones to my WiFi router and they perfectly transferred all information from the Samsung to the Moto X. It took about 15 minutes and everything was moved properly, as far as I can tell. Kudos to Motorola for the excellent app and simple instructions to make that happen. All my photos, videos, files, contacts, phone numbers, texts... everything was moved and it was all in exactly the right place on the Moto X. Brilliant! My carrier is Sprint, so I then took the Moto X to a Sprint store. The smiling clerk there transferred my service from the Samsung to the Moto X. It took about 15 minutes and there was no charge. Brilliant! Regarding the phone itself... first, it's big. It fits in a shirt or pants pocket, but you'll know it's there. The flip side to that is the big gorgeous display it has. It's 5.7-inch screen is sharp, bright and clear, with intuitive touch sensitivity. I also like that the phone's on/off button is ridged, so you can tell by touch if you have the right button. I shoot and view lots of video on my phone, and the Motorola Moto X is the best I've ever had in that regard. The two front-facing speakers are just what you want for watching video. The Moto X's cameras are the best I've had in a cell phone, for both video and photos. I did a 4G speed test and got 27 Mbps download -- very fast. I recommend the Moto X Pure Edition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenomenal. I wanted something that would work with Verizon, that wouldnt have any of their garbage apps force on you with it. This was my answer. The price was right, the clear of any apps that you cant shut down and are forced on you by the carrier is gone. The carrier only updates are gone. If only I had gone this route sooner! OH and its cheaper than any of the phones of similar quality from Verizon.
