    Manfrotto MB BP-D1 reviews

Aviator D1 Backpack for Quadcopter is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 69.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Probably the best drone carrying solution available. I looked at many backpack solutions for my Phantom 4 Pro and decided on the Manfrotto D1 for 1 reason. It also has a large DSLR space in addition to the drone area. The only issue is that all the marketing verbiage makes it sound like it is also for the P4P. However, when the item arrived the tags state it works with the smaller drones up to the P3. The P4P fits but it takes some maneuvering of the upper storage area. It's tight. But it works. The DSLR storage area fits my Sony RX10 lll, batteries, filters etc. So for a backpack that fits your drone AND DSLR, this Manfrotto really works well. Comes with a rain cover and tripod straps too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Bag. After weeks of search, and debate. I finally purchased my D1, and I am extremly happy I did. This backpack is the absolute best bag there is. I have been searching since the day I got my drone, the phantom 4, to find a way to replace the form. THIS IS IT. I ride my bike daily, and wanted a way of taking my drone. I take much more than my drone on my daily ride, about 16 miles. My daily things I have in my bag: 15 Inch Macbook pro, 20.000 mah battery pack, samsung t700 tab, Nikon d7100, 2 lens, hero4 black & many mounts, phantom 4, 3 P4 Batteries, remote, Manfrotto tripod, and much more! I take this bag everywhere! Follow me on youtube: I love this bag and just needed a way of expressing that, The Best Bag. John Rhode IV

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag for trav This bag is just what I was looking for! The drone compartment is nicely padded and offers plenty of pockets for cables and accessories. I read other reviews that said the battery pockets are too small for the Phantom 4 batteries, but I found them to fit perfectly. In addition to my drone/accessories, this bag offers enough room for my DSLR w/accessories, along with my MacBook, iPad, and more. When I travel with my Phantom, this bag offers enough space to serve as my sole carry-on bag. The exterior dimensions conform to the carry-on size limitation imposed by most major airlines.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Pleased with this purchase I have only had the bag for a couple of weeks but have found no fault with it. I did some research and considered a number of bags. The two areas of concern was a) that the original D1 had battery pockets that were unable to accommodate the Phantom 4 battery and b) that the bag is seen as quite large and thus not suitable for carry-on baggage on flights. On the first, this was a newly designed bag with battery compartments widened to fit the Phantom 4 cells perfectly. On the second I just returned from a round trip between NY and Seattle and carried the D1 on with me and no one questioned its size. It fits perfectly in overhead storage. It is comfortable to wear, the rain sleeve fits nicely and looks smart and I love the option of carrying the drone with its props still connected with the outer pocket flap acting like a sling for the drone. Great design, well made, comfortable and smart - highly functional and very happy with it so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Larger battery pockets! Just got my D1 for my Phantom 4 from BH after they've been on backorder for awhile. I think I may know the reason for the limited stick lately-they seem to have revised the battery pockets! I've been reading reviews for months and one of the biggest gripes was that the two battery pockets were too small for the Phantom 4 batteries. So I was expecting to have put something else in those pockets. To my surprise the batteries fit perfectly, no problem. When they were out of stock I called manfrotto and asked if the reason was because they were retiring or improving the D1 and they assured me it was only because there had been high demand for this bag. But I really think it was to enlarge those pockets. In any case this bag fits everything perfectly. I was also surprised that the shoulder straps and waist strap even get long enough to go around my very large frame. I'm very satisfied.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Bag, Just Not for Me This is a good product for what it is. It works well as a backpack for the Phantom 4 Pro. The new battery compartments in the door/flap have plenty of room for P4P (and I assume P4) batteries. However, for my purposes, this is not the pack I am looking for. I want a pack that can carry my P4P and accessories, as well as my Nikon D800 DSLR and extra lenses, filters, etc. The top compartment literally only fits the camera with an attached 24-120 lens. No space in the pack for extra lenses, no good place for my Lee filter case, etc. I will be sticking with the Thinktank Airport Helipack for my purposes. While this Manfrotto pack is more comfortable and has some great features (like carrying with propellers on), it does not serve what I am looking for, which is to have something that carries everything when traveling. The Thinktank pack is not as comfortable, and when fully loaded it is quite heavy, but, it does comfortably hold everything I want and more. If you only need to carry your drone and accessories, this a great pack that has room for more stuff like layers, snacks or a DSLR with attached lens. However, if you need a combination drone pack and full featured DSLR pack, then unfortunately, in my opinion, this is not the one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant, carry-all pack Used this backpack on a non-profit assignment, creative mission in Haiti; was the best, most comfortable piece of luggage ever. Sure it was heavy (since carrying my MacBook Pro, iPad Mini, DJI Phantom 3 4K, Canon 5D Mark III with two lenses) but it was ultra comfortable with the waist straps. I was walking three to five hours per day with this on my back and it was wonderful. Truly a nomadic creative studio that housed all I need to help tell the story of a non-profit that provides urgent, mobile medical care to Haitians in rural areas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect bag Exactly what I was expecting. Quality is great, full of pocket to store all what you need. The dslr pocket fit my 60d+10.22mm lens on it, and an extra 55mm-250mm. Make sure to remove the tablet stand to maximize the space, need a little srewdriver I guess. The raincover come on the side, so be sure to keep in inside if you travel, I thought it will be under the bag like regular camera bag.
