The YT2000 Intellimix from Yellowtec is a digital desktop mixing solution that offers full routing, mixing, and automated monitoring. Featuring a compact desktop Control Unit that links to a Base Unit via a single RS232 cable, it can be used in applications for broadcast newsrooms, voiceovers, and more. Moreover, Intellimix is designed logically by integrating into your existing workstation, or it can be used as a standalone mixer.
Intellimix employs no cable harnesses on your desktop, and its mixer Control Unit, which has fewer controls, does not carry any audio. It can be placed wherever you like. All audio and control I/Os are found on the Base Unit, which can be installed where it belongs, placed away from the desktop and close to the equipment in your audio rack.
The Base Unit provides 14 different audio input sources that can be connected in various analog and digital formats. For example, it has two balanced XLR inputs with phantom power and one unbalanced analog input with RCA connectors on the front panel. With five balanced line inputs with connectors, five AES/EBU inputs, and one digital S/PDIF (switchable to TOS Link) on the back panel, the mixer is ready to connect to various input sources.
Furthermore, any selected source is clearly indicated by the bright alpha-numeric display (easily visible in bright light) on the Intellimix Control Unit. Also, profiles can be stored on a smart card, enabling different users to recall their personal setup preferences.
