The Acebil ST-7R Shoulder Rig is designed to enhance your use of the Panasonic AG-DVX200 4K Camcorder in both shoulder- and tripod-mounted modes. In either mode, access to the camera's viewfinder, controls, and connectors remain unimpeded. Using a V-mount battery on the ST-7R Shoulder Rig's rear plate counterbalances the weight of the camera, and the padded shoulder mount provides a comfortable fit. Constructed of lightweight aluminum, the rig provides four DC outputs and three built-in CamTap BNC outputs. The ST-7R Shoulder Rig is compatible with the Acebil CS-382 or CS-482 tripod systems.

Acebil ST-7R Overview

The Acebil ST-7R Shoulder Rig is designed to enhance your use of the Panasonic AG-DVX200 4K Camcorder in both shoulder- and tripod-mounted modes. In either mode, access to the camera's viewfinder, controls, and connectors remain unimpeded. Using a V-mount battery on the ST-7R Shoulder Rig's rear plate counterbalances the weight of the camera, and the padded shoulder mount provides a comfortable fit. Constructed of lightweight aluminum, the rig provides four DC outputs and three built-in CamTap BNC outputs. The ST-7R Shoulder Rig is compatible with the Acebil CS-382 or CS-482 tripod systems.

This had the potential to be a great tool but is let done by not enough thought in the design as it doesn't sit on the shoulder like it should. It is quite heavy and it is terribly unbalanced when attaching it to a tripod. The base plate has to sit at it's forward most point. The only positive thing I can say is, it is slightly better than it is without it

Will this fit the panasonic AG-UX90?

We are not able to test this combination, cannot find any record of it and there is no listing that it can be done. Therefore we would be of the opinion that no, it will not fit the AG-UX90.

There is not, you would need to use a V-Mount battery with this system.

Once safely secured in this adapter, your camera should be better protected than on it's own. We do not see any particular danger to the camera coming from the V-mount battery.

Does this plug into the dc port to charge it from the V-Mount battery?

We are of the opinion that AG-DVX200 batteries can only be charged in a separate charger; there is no battery charging in the camera that we can find. Thus the V-Mount battery is just supplying power. Panasonic and we suggest that you have a AC-DVX200 in the camera in case the external power is ever interrupted.

We're afraid not. This system is configured specifically for the DVX200 and may not work properly with a UX180. We do not recommend it.
