I have a dark brown wrist strap on my camera and this little wooden brown soft shutter release button, compliments it perfectly and it also feels very good under the finger when I press the shutter. I am very satisfied and would recommend this.

What are advantages of convex vs concave soft release shutter buttons?
Asked by: William
There is no correct answer; it is simply a personal preference. If you tend to arch your finger over the shutter release, you may prefer the convex option, while if you use the tip of your finger or your finger is typically flat when pressing the shutter button, the concave option may be preferred. But as stated, it is simply personal preference and there is no right or wrong option.

Would you recommend a ‘large’ or a ‘small’ size release button for a Nikon FM2N? Also, why do some users prefer either a concave or convex shape? Thanks.
Asked by: Anonymous
For an FM2, a large would be good. As far as shape, that is a matter of personal preference. I think a concave design is best for comfort, etc...
