Blackstar Tone Link Overview

Blackstar Amplification's Tone:Link is a Bluetooth audio receiver for any amplifier that has a line-in jack. Plug this receiver into any such port and you can listen to music from your Bluetooth-enabled device through a guitar amplifier, or even play along to music without the clutter of cables. An on-board play/pause button allows you to control the playback of your music remotely, while Bluetooth 3.0 with EDR helps ensure quicker pairing and playback.

Featuring a built-in 170 mAh rechargeable lithium battery that lasts up to eight hours at a clip, the Tone:Link also includes one cable and two adapters to ensure you can use this device with both 3.5mm and 1/4" jacks. The unit itself offers an on-board microphone for phone calls, a center answer/reject call button, and side controls which skip tracks (if pressed) and control volume (if held).

I own a Geneva Sound XL stereo. Unfortunately I have the older model I got on Craigslist for $600 instead of $4,000 new . Instead of spending $4,500 for the newer model, I brought this product instead. This gives me 30 foot distance and it travels through my walls. I had fun playing it and the reception was excellent. Let's face it, most people listen to tunes on their phone instead of playing the radio because their music is on their phone instead. This enables me to listen to opera music while I'm printing my photographs. The battery life lasts a long time too and it came with all the accessories that I needed. This is a great deal. Don't pass it up.

I have a headphone amp that plugs into my guitar so I can stroll around my apartment playing, without bothering the neighbors. Now that I have added the Tone:Link I can stream music and play along as I stroll. The back and forth buttons, pause button, and volume control are all I need. And it is smaller than a matchbox.

Does this device allow two Bluetooth connections at the same time? Such as iPod and phone?

The Blackstar Tone:Link is only able to link with a single device at a time.

This unit is a Bluetooth Receiver. It is designed to connect to a line input on an amplifier to allow you to stream music from a bluetooth enabled audio device to the amp. This unit will not work connected to a guitar.

No. This is a Bluetooth receiver, so it can receive Bluetooth audio and send it out through its 3.5mm jack, but it cannot send Bluetooth audio to devices like headphones or Airpods.

Can you plug it into a bass amp and pair Bluetooth headphones to it to hear the amp?

The Blackstar Tone:Link Bluetooth Audio Receiver is a Bluetooth receiver, not a transmitter. It can receive audio from Bluetooth devices like phones and tablets, but it cannot send audio out to Bluetooth headphones or speakers.
