This Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity & LEMO 3-Pin Connector for Wisycom Transmitters may not work with the Sound Devices A20-Mini Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter and Recorder (B&H # SOA20MINI). The A20-Mini can be used with microphones that have a LEMO 3-pin connector wired for compatibility with Sennheiser transmitters such as the Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity & LEMO 3-Pin Connector for Sennheiser Transmitters (B&H # SAC11ANSELBE), which is the same microphone with the appropriate wiring configuration.

This microphone requires 48v Phantom Power. You would need to use an active XLR adapter, of which there are many to choose from, or a simple Phantom Power Supply. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/577469-REG/PSC_FPSC0001_48_PHantom_Single.html

Is there an option to connect it to a XLR input camcorder? Also will it work with my phone's 3.5mm headphone port?
Asked by: Jared
A Rode VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter, BH #ROVXLR, will allow you to plug this mic into a camera with XLR input, which would be able to provide 48 volt phantom power to the mic. To connect this to a smartphone, you would adapt the end to TRRS with a Rode SC4 3.5mm TRS Female to 3.5mm Right-Angle TRRS Male Adapter Cable for Smartphones, BH #ROSC4. The smartphone will power the mic in this case.

Are these locking 3.5mm / ⅛in connections compatible with the Saramonic uwmic9? The wireless receiver has a bit of a lip around the outlet…
Asked by: J Perry
Saramonic seems like copy of Sony system so most probably will not work because wiring is not the same. It can be expensive gamble.

I bought this one. I have a question. If i connect sony transmitter this without phantom power, is it operating?
Asked by: Lee
The COS-11D requires 3 to 10V of plug-in power, not phantom power. Phantom power is higher voltage of 12 to 48V. The Sony transmitter will supply the proper amount of plug-in power needed for the COS-11D.

No, the Sony wiring of this mic is not compatible with the RodeLink. Here's a Sennheiser wired version of the COS-11D that would be compatible B&H # SAC11WNSETRB.
