ProFX4v2 Mixer Kit with Bag is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Singer/Songwriter . . . I got this because I needed reverb for my Bose L1 Compact and I wasn't about to spend hundreds of dollars on their ridiculously complex and overpriced digital mixer. The ProFX4v2 sounds great and is simple to operate. It has some limitations, but you can't expect the moon at this tiny size and price point. It weighs nothing, takes up zero space, and does exactly what I need it to do. I recommend it without reservation to any guy/gal with guitar (or keyboard for that matter) .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not the typical use -- I run an autoharp through the ProFX4v I bought the ProFX4v2 to use not so much as a mixer but as a preamp for acoustic instruments, specifically for an autoharp. I use a Shure dynamic lav mic adhered to the back of my autoharp, run it into channel one of the Mackie, through the 5 band EQ & a bit of reverb, and then out again into the board of the PA. The ProFX4v2 has EQ adjustments that get a workout on the autoharp which has the range of a piano but a rather metallic timbre of a zither. I am still experimenting with the options, but basically roll the mids and high end way back to get a beefier sound. I give the unit 4 stars out of 5 because the balanced OUT is not XLR. I use a 3 foot pigtail cable TRS-male to XLR-male to interface with a sound system. An XLR out built into the mixer would have been nice, but the small footprint of the ProFX4v2 makes for a decent DI for my autoharp even with the adaptor. Other acoustic instruments that need some EQ or reverb might work well too, such as Lap Steel guitar -- if you want to go direct instead of through an amp. Especially if your instrument delivers a balanced output. B&H offered the going price for this unit, but the Mackie bag add-on was a nice package price. The free shipping was quick and easy.
