    AKG K182 reviews

    K182 - Professional Closed-Back Monitor Headphones is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love My AKG headphones I heard a lot about AKG headphones so I decided to get my own pair. I bought the K182 over the ear headphones. Right out of the box they sounded good. I am still breaking them in as I only purchased them a couple weeks ago. I listen to music at home using my iPad and some streaming services. Very happy with the Quality build and comfort fit. Give them a try and see if they work for you. Good Luck and Happy New Year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for the price The sound is perfect for monitoring with all ranges coming through equally consistent. I don't get other reviews that say the bass is underwhelming, you don't want it taking over if you're using them to monitor. It even sounds good with my iPhone X, although I wouldn't use them everyday for that purpose. The construction is solid seems like it will last. The headband adjustment is smooth and stable, satisfyingly clicking on each selection, and staying there even with movement. The muffs could be a little more substantial, but not by much. Overall this is an excellent buy for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Sound! Sometimes cheaper is better, but these studio headphones sound great. They sound much better than some more expensive studio headphones I've used.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Home Studio Headphone These headphones are very articulate in the highs and high-mids. There is a hint of bass in them as well, but remember these are monitor headphones. They are not meant to have a lot of bass, and are meant for articulation. That initial tone was being ran through my motherboards built in sound card. But when I put them through my Mayflower O2+ODAC Rev. B combo the sound became a lot fuller. The true sound was being held back by my motherboards built in soundcard. So I would suggest using a type of amp and DAC combo to power these even though the impedance is lower. I'd say the sound is absolutely beautiful and great for a $ headphone! The articulation and clarity of these headphones reach far beyond its price point. I'd say more along the lines of $ -$ headphone so if you decide to pick these up you will love them. But as I said early get some type of solid state amp and proper DAC that will give you the proper tone and fullness these headphones deserve. In terms of the build quality this is where they skimped a little bit so they can give you great drivers. But in all honesty these are made for the studio and if you use them as such I don't see a proble with the build quality. They are mostly made of plastic and a little rubber for grip. They do fold in slightly but upwards more like a DJ headphone. The hinge for this part of the phone is actually the metal part and is really sturdy so I don't see it breaking anytime soon. I do have two three year olds and they use them on their tablet ever so often so they can withstand some punishment. Overall for this price range I would give these headphones an 7.5/10 for sound and build quality. Reason because to get the most out of these you do need a amp/DAC to bring out the best sound possible. And the overall build quality is decent and they didn't skimp on the parts that move(hinge).
