Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works on my EVA1 I got two of these IDX VBD96 Batteries from B&H and they last about 4-5 hours each. They do have a little play, as others have mentioned (to the point where they cut out power). Not on the ones I got though. I've tested them by forcefully moving them around trying to cut the power and it wouldn't happen. I've read in the EVA1 facebook group, several people who tried the same test to make sure the power doesn't cut, and they also couldn't replicate cutting the power. However, I've also seen in the EVA1 youtube review from Hotrod Cameras, that there are certain IDX units have too much play causing power loss. I assume it may be a mixed bag in terms of fit and quality from the factory. I'm happy with mine though. Great bang for your buck.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for the EVA1 I purchased this battery for the EVA1 as an alternative to the more expensive Panasonic battery. Don't waist your time. It fits the camera battery mount so loosely that with camera movement or tilting, it will disconnect power to the camera. In contrast, the factory Panasonic battery fits the mount snugly with no wiggle room and no problems.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Buy if you have Panasonic AG-UX180 We do all day long events, Batteries are heart of our production. These IDX doesn't fit properly in our three Panasonic AGUX180 cameras. its a loose fit. Pan or tilt will shutdown the camera. They didn't get charge by Panasonic charger that comes with AG-UX180. its hit or miss. one of the battery missing the label and all came with scratches on them. after lots hassle, we sent them back. We went with original Panasonic AG-VBR118G 11,800 MAH BATTERY.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A steel at half the price of the similar Panasonic battery! Im giving this battery 4 of 5 stars only because we haven't used them enough to see the realistic run-times. I've used IDX products in the past, and I hold them up there with Anton Bauer. These batteries are half the price of the equivalent Panasonic. How can you go wrong....even if the Panny lasts a little longer, I'd rather have 2 batteries for the price of one in case one craps out or gets damaged....just good economical sense. I wouldn't ever go with the off brand batteries as they never last as stated, IDX is a well know name for batteries....its a no-brainer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long Life and D-tap I use this AG-VBR compatible battery with my new Panasonic HC-X1 camcorder. I shot UHD 24p continuously for 7.25 hours before the camera shutdown from low battery (on tripod with LCD screen active). I like how the optional D-tap power port on the back of the battery can power a third-party on-camera light while still powering the camera. I also like the remaining power indicator lights that can tell me how much charge is left in the battery. I don't know how long it takes to fully charge because I do it overnight, but it's always full charged in the morning!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Compatible, but loose in the DVX200 I was wrong not to have listened to the other reviewers who said it was loose inside the DVX200. We got two... and they are loose inside the DVX200. So loose that the camera shuts off sometimes when you hand-hold. I will try to shove some bits of folded paper to wedge it in, and I'll update this when I do. When not mounted in camera, the USB jack did not seem to have any juice to it. It would not power a simple iPhone charging cord. Power indicator on it is a nice feature. (Also, while the USB port on the battery is an incredible idea, be aware of the DVX200 which encloses the battery inside it's case... rendering the USB connection unreachable and a waste of purchase money. But this is more about the camera than the battery.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Initial Review I've only had this battery long enough to shoot one event, so this is just my initial reaction to the product. I bought it for my Panasonic DVX200 as it was suggested for it. I shot 4+ hours of high school football with it and never lost a bar on my battery indicator all night, so I'm definitely happy with it's OOTB battery life. I went with this battery, first and foremost, because it was cheaper than the branded models for the DVX200 from Panasonic and it had the added functionality of USB and X-Tap connections. However, this is also my biggest gripe because yes, I can power things other than my camera, just not while using my camera. And yes, I knew this before I bought it, but it's just kind of shameless on the manufacturer's part to advertise this batter as being for the DVX200 and having great functionality when the DVX200 has an enclosed battery compartment and you can't access either of the ports while you're using it on your camera. Yes, even if you leave the compartment door open. So, at the end the day, I just wanted a cheaper battery than the panasonic models that was more bang for the buck as well, and I got one. I knew I couldn't use it to power on camera accessories but maybe I can power other small stuff on a shoot, or my phone in a tough spot. I'm still going to knock off one star for advertising it specifically to DVX200 users who can't use it to it's full potential, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome battery, highly recommend for UX, DVX200, HC, etc. I use this battery IDX 9600mAh 70Wh for my Panasonic HCX1, so far it has performed flawlessly and is a wonderful alternative to the panasonic batteries because IDX is a top notch professional level reliable battery manufacturer. It comes in at a much more affordable level and includes a USB port so you can charge or power USB devices, and an X-Tap for powering devices that need 8 Volts or less (not to be confused with B-tap, which is 12+ Volts output). The fact these are integrated into the battery package is great. And I get almost double the run time out of it vs. the 5900mAh battery that comes with the camera. I highly recommend it and will likely purchase another one. Oh and it works fine on the included panasonic charger...though be sure to allow enough time to charge cause the chargers really take about real time to charge the batteries. Meaning if the battery will run the camera about 3.5 hours, then it takes about that time to charge it...
