Rated 1 out of 5 by from Trash Don't buy this. I bought this from B&H last week and right out of the package it had problems. It was making a helicopter noise in all the recordings. I did a google search for Go Pro Helicopter Noise to see if it's a common issue and sure enough it's a HUGE common issues with the hardware. Youtube has a ton of videos with people sharing their stories about the problem and all the hoops GO PRO makes them go through just to get their camera replaced, and even the replacement cameras have the issue. What kind of camera company has issues with new equipment right away. I'm contacting B&H today to see what my options are for returning this piece of junk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal for beginners The camera is excellent to do movies and take nice photos with a wide angle. The card came in a very nice size to take photos and do videos non professionals and the handler is better then the gopro. the second battery i didn't use yet because you need to change the battery every time you need to recharge so i recommend to buy a wall charger for 2 batteries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good semi-pro camera I use the product mostly with the selfie stick or the head mount. It can capture moments which your regular camera/camcorder never can. The quality is at par. Best setting for videos would be 1080 60fps for this device. Pictures quality is OK.Good for taking wide angle shots. The battery is not very long lasting, consider buying a couple of extra batteries for filming long duration.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for it's purpose I finally got a GroPro to supplement my current professional gear. This will be my main camera to capture high quality video in central america without the added bulk of my usual gear. Image distortion is a minor issue. I won't use wide view. The only downside is the battery life. However,I have enough backup batteries for my purpose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my needs The quality of this camera is already profesional grade. So there's no point for me to get the Black model.. Perfect for my vacations and activities like snowboarding, longboarding, surfing or just chilling on the beach.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hero4 Black beginner's issues I purchased the Hero4 Black from B&H Photo to complete a array of camera's project. First, no complaint about the service or price from B&H, it was the lowest and fastest I could find on line, and I was very happy with it. I was not happy with the poor user interface of the Hero 4 black. The other camera's in the array (Hero3 Black's) worked perfectly, however the Hero 4 black seemed to want to go to 4K time lapse mode as a default, and required much key interaction to get it into proper settings. It turned out that the camera could not be configured in time for the project. I think GoPro out smarted themselves in their design and forgot that ease of use and reliability of performance is more important than constantly hitting many buttons for countless times to get to where you need to be. (The cardinal sin of UX). Also the GoPro App had difficulty connecting to the Hero 4, and no problem with the Hero 3. To end on a positive note, The beginners Kit was very useful because I needed to use sound queuing, which would not have been possible with the sealed container. I was able to use the clamp mount from the kit with another flexible clamp mount to hold the camera to the wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture quality at 4K resolution The Hero4 Black comes with a standard housing, skeleton backdoor (for access to the camera), rechargeable battery, curved adhesive mount, flat adhesive mount, quick-release buckles, three-way pivot arm, and Mini USB cable. In shooting 4K with the Hero4 Black, there's a learning curve to master that's different from previous Heroes. There are now a total of 47 different resolution and frame rate combinations. All in all, we would still highly recommend the Hero4 Black for consumers. Even if you're not a pro-level shooter, or adept at color grading, the ability to capture motion in glorious 4K is a worthy investment since your footage will eventually live online from here out. It's always better to downscale footage now than upscale it in the future.
