How does this SDI splitter operate without a power supply? It seems like all the other units like it require one.

According to Apantac, this passive splitter has minimal internal wiring, and draws power through the SDI connection.

We're afraid not. This is passive, it will not re-clock the signal. For a re-clocked signal you would need to look at the Apantac 3G-SDI 1x4 Re-Clocking Distribution Amplifier, B&H # APDA4HD, instead. https://bhpho.to/2EkR1Ue
