The Photogenic Matrix MCD400R 400Ws Monolight is an AC-powered monolight; it is not a battery-powered light unit. However, the Photogenic MRT-16 Wireless Transmitter included with the monolight does use a user-replaceable CR2032, 3-volt lithium coin battery.
