Adjustable Gimbal

Quick Release Plate

Micro-Adjustment Knobs

Affordable, well-made and battery free stability

I have been using this Axler Robin 05R V2 stabilizer with my Canon M50, and I have been really impressed and happy with it. It is fully manual, so there is a little bit a learning curve when it comes to balancing. It takes a little time to get used to finding that sweet spot, but once you get it down, it's not difficult. And the micro adjustment knobs make a big difference. Being able to fine tune front to back and side to side helps dial things in much more precisely and quicker than I expected. One of the biggest advantages for me is that there are no batteries or motors involved that can fail or die. There is nothing to recharge and no electronics to worry about. It is purely mechanical, which makes it reliable and ready to go at any time. The build feels tough and well made, yet it is still lightweight and easy to travel with. Once balanced properly, it produces smooth, floating shots that instantly elevate handheld footage IMO. I also appreciate that it comes with a bag to keep everything self-contained and protected. That makes it easy to toss into a larger camera bag without worrying about pieces getting lost or damaged. For the price, this stabilizer offers a lot of value. It is affordable, durable, and a great entry point into handheld stabilization without stepping into more expensive motorized systems. I was surprised how well made this guy is. It's terrific for small point and shoot cameras such as the Coolpix 820 I have. Makes video much more stable. Setting up the balance is nice with rotating forward and side to side knobs but I'll often just grab it with my hand around the vertical pole and that does an excellent job in itself without the balance tweaking. Too bad it just a little small for my Sony full frame and its medium size zoom....

Agreed. The Canon Rebel T6i is beyond it's use and I wish I wouldn't have bought it expecting it would work with this.But my smaller video cameras Canon it works fine.

The gimbal is the difference between the two models. On the V2, the drift has been reduced and there is smoother action. The counterweights are available as replacements directly from the distributer. Currently out of stock, they expect more in 8-10 weeks. [email protected].

The differences with these models is the V2 has an improved gimbal producing less drift and improved smooth motion. Counterweights are usually available through Gradus Group. ([email protected]) They expect a new shipment of the counterweights in 8-10 weeks.

I like this one. It is a little heavy but the iPhone will be secure. I have found out to my regret that spring loaded phone holders are susceptible to being hit and dropping the phone causing damage. RetiCAM Smartphone Tripod Mount with XL Conversion Kit B&H # RECSTM01C.

Do Axler Robin o5r v2 work with Canonvideo camera model VIXIA HF G10?

The Robin 05R has a load capacity of 1.5 pounds and the Vixia G10 weighs 1.2 pounds. You should be able to use the G10 with the Robin 05R, but it will be very close and might be tricky to balance. The Axler Robin 20, B&H # AXRBN20S, would be a better choice for a camcorder like the G10.https://bhpho.to/2uQbbmI
