works for: 2022 AirBook + 27 LED Cinema Display

Works but the LED Cinema Display's Mini DisplayPort (male) does not insert all the way into this adapter - not flush. Not sure if this is the way it's supposed to fit. Sometimes the monitor default resolution changes from the preferred 2560x1440 to a less desirable configuration, all on its own and in System Settings the 2560x1440 does not show as an option. The remedy is to unplug the monitor's cable from the adapter and then plug it back.

I finally set up my new Mac Studio. I needed an adapter for my LED Cinema Display with Mini DisplayPort. The adapter plugged in without a problem. The display fired up when I turned on my computer. I checked the resolution in Systems Preferences and It was operating at 4K resolution. Well worth the price.

When you have a new MacBook Pro that only has USB-C ports and a monitor that is Display port native the adapter fills the bill. It is reliable and works well with a MBP.

I had it plugged into my computer and then used a gigaware adapter to convert from Mini DisplayPort into DisplayPort (which is what my monitor had available). This adapter worked fine from my usb-c enabled iMac and MacBook too, into an older 24 inch Samsung monitor at monitor's resolution (2560x1440).

This adapter worked without anything needed except to plug it into a Thunderbolt 4 port on my Mac Studio, power up my Apple LED Cinema Display and plug its minidisplayport connection into the adapter. The display is fully functional including the three connection usba hub on the back of the display. My Mac Studio running Ventura 13.1 recognizes the display and it is shown along with all of its functions in the displays settings on Ventura. I am using the LED Cinema Display as an extended display with an Apple Studio Display as the main display. Everything works beautifully.

While I have always loved J5 Create products, this USB-C to mini DisplayPort Adapter will not connect an Apple Cinema display to my MacBookPro. I must get the Apple Branded Mini Display Port to USB-C connector!!!

Yes, the j5create USB Type-C to 4K Mini DisplayPort Adapter BH #J5JCA142 would allow you to use an Apple Cinema Display and support Audio/Video as long as you have the Mini Displayport Cinema Display as opposed to the Apple Thunderbolt Display which would require a different adapter (Apple Thunderbolt 3 Male to Thunderbolt 2 Female Adapter BH #APMMEL2AMA).

If your 24-inch Apple Cinema Display LED has a Mini DisplayPort connection, then you will be able to connect your 2019 iMac using the j5create USB Type-C to 4K Mini DisplayPort Adapter.

Is this fully compatible with new MacBook Pro (with touch screen) and Dell 4K external monitor (Dell P2715Q)? Currently using high speed HDMI and MBP does not wake from sleep when connected to external monitor. End up having to reboot and basically unplugging external monitor. Any suggestions? Bought monitor at B&H and love it. Worked like a charm with mid 2010 MBP connected with display port.

Sorry, cannot help here. I'm using it with Windows based laptops, e.g. HP EliteBook 8740p (Windows 7 Enterprise), Dell XPS-13 9360 (Windows 10 Home) and Dell monitor U2515H which is 2560 x 1440. Also used with Alienware 15R2. Works perfectly with all of them, including waking up from the sleep.
