Zacuto Z-SDIC reviews

Right Angle BNC to Right Angle BNC SDI Video Cable (30") is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent SDI Cable I use this SDI cable to connect my Zacuto HD Gratical viewfinder to my Sony FS7 and it works perfect. The key is the right angle design which take the stress off the SDI connectors at both the Gratical and Sony inputs. I had purchased an SDI connector at one of my local big box stores and it already broke after a few weeks of use, because it did not have the right angles. The Zacuto SDI cable is sturdy and well built. In fact, I will be purchasing another one to keep in my kit for backup or use for an external monitor. SDI cables are far superior to HDMI due to the fact they twist and lock at the input/output points which makes for a very secure connection.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very reliable cable, kills you SDI ports Although the cable itself looks very sturdy and also flexible to work with, it has some major issues. First, it broke just after two weeks of use (very gentle use, not stress or pressure on cable was applied). Second, that it's very stiff to connect, it wears out the connection very easily. My SDI output/input on both camera and monitor after two weeks were worn down and got very loose. All other cables do not connect well now. Unless you want to attach this cable for permanent and fixed place use, I do not recommend this product at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk cables Ordered two cables. Both cables had issues with the connectors on both sides (the metal on the inner connector was jagged from sloppy cuts) making it impossible to connect to any device. Had them exchanged through B&H. The replacement cables while not as bad as the original ones are still junk. I was able to connect the cables to a camera, but the tolerance on these connectors is a joke. Took fifteen minutes to remove the connector from my monitor with a set of pliers. What's interesting is that on a recent shoot the DP experienced the very same issues with the very same cables he ordered recently. Worst SDI cables I've used in the last 10 years. Going in the trash before I ruin a monitor or camera port.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good SDI cable when you need a right angles I'm running this cable between the Sony FS7 and the Odyssey monitor. Previous to buying this cable I had a straight connector and broke two of them off the back of the camera, so far the right angle connector has been much better and does not stick out as far. Can't speak much for the quality of the cable yet as I am only two shoots with it in place so far. But it seems like it should hold up pretty well the connectors are nice and solid. Light enough cable to also work well on a DJI Ronan gimbal..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! Tight...but great. Like others have said it is a tight fit. But that being said I didn't find it too tight. Also I won't be taking the cord out very often so it's not a big deal to me. The right angles are really helpful as well as the thin cord since I'll be using it on a gimbal so I don't want any push on the system from a taught cord. The price is right as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cable Perfection Flexible and well made. I use it with Blackmagic Cinema Camera and Blackmagic Video Assist HD. This cable attaches to the BNC female to 1.0/2.3 DIN plug male right angle RG179 SDI.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing This cable is so lightweight and flexible it's great. It take a little care to get it locked in, you don't want to rotate too roughly. It's perfect for use with a gimbal.
