Rated 3 out of 5 by from Interesting Addition This is such a great idea, and I want to love it. But there are some details to keep in mind. 1) What is your most common camera setup? I use a Sony on a tripod and a Crane gimbal, and although it works for the tripod, the slim circle shape of the plate makes it a bit hard to balance the camera on the gimbal. Great for tripod to tripod though. 2) No matter how tight you screw in the plate to the camera, after a few uses, you have to keep re-tightening the plate. --- Really love this idea and happy to have it in my bag, but still not sure how often i'll use it. Maybe you start with the $49 dollar version of other brands first.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Heavier for quick release Doesn't always works as easy as shown in the video. If the base screw is not stabilized / held it is not easy to mount the quick release system. Will have to hold the mount screw in one hand, other hand holding camera and operate quick release system, it is not easy. Further it is heavy, making the camera much heavier to carry. Not recommended for regular day to day photography use. Do see a evolving market make better ones.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good not great Solid build quality. Innovative idea. I absolutely love just about everything Edelkrone makes, but the one major draw back for me is that this requires both hands to put on. My current quick release (manfrotto 394 I think?) allows me to put my camera on the baseplate with only the 1 hand that is carrying the camera. It just clicks right on. This edelkrone quickrelease requires 2 hands and about 5 seconds to put on. That's a long time in Wedding/event coverage world. You also have to re-place your forward/backward position on whatever you're mounting it to if it has a screw that moves forwards or backwards. This is bad if it's a stabilizer. You need it to be the same position every time. Again. I like the idea, but it just wasn't good enough for me to change out my whole quick release ecosystem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely a MUST HAVE This little thing is amazing!! The time it saves you makes it worth every penny.. I use it with my 5d mkiii, and It locks in tight. I've never had a problem with it coming undone or getting loose. I can't stand having to remove a quick release plate on a big camera system and fidgeting with it trying to line it back up.. This takes a second or two at most.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money and get better QR I was so excited to get Edelkrone QR One, and now I can't trusted to hold my camera and lenses. Even if tighten the screw to the camera, it is easy be twisted. Don't waste your money and get better and cheaperQR.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I like it but little bit heavy,,,, It is useful for switching tripod to gimbal, easy to mount on it. I can say only negative thing is weight. little bit heavier than I expected.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Changing Plates won't make your head spin. It works with multiple tripods. It takes a bit of getting used to.
