Foma RETROPAN 320 soft is a panchromatic black and white negative film characterized by its fine grain structure along with good resolution and edge sharpness. Offering a wide tonal range and classic appearance, this film is particularly well-suited for contact printing and conventional enlarging applications, and its softer, mild contrast values are ideal for still lives, architectural, landscape, and portrait photography. Its nominal sensitivity is ISO 320/26° when processed in standard black and white chemistry or the recommended Retro Special Developer; however, its wide exposure latitude permits rating the film at one stop of over (EI 160) or two stops under (EI 1250) with good results.

don't waste your time

very poor film,no contrast,muddy and shows streaks from uneven emulsion. got a box of 4x5 shot 10 sheets used recommended developer got flat negatives regardless of exposure. developed 2 sheets in d-19 and even that couldn't help.i expected the grain but the prints look like they were made on fogged paper even with a 3 1/2 filter and lack sharpness. soft is one thing but flat is another. don't let the labeling fool you,it's just trash. it makes their arista edu 400 look good,and that's borderline. ;-)

Using normal developer leads to unexposed negatives

Using Diafine developer led to extremely underexposed negatives. Looking at other peoples results seems to indicate the same. Other peoples results also show a lot of grain.
