Axis Communications Q1941 Overview

The Q1941-E Thermal Network Camera from Axis Communications features a 19mm fixed lens and is capable of capturing images up to 384 x 288. Thanks to its powerful processor, this camera has the capacity for running video analytics via the AXIS Camera Application Platform (ACAP) and can use a range of third-party applications. This network camera offers multiple H.264 and MJPEG streams that can be individually optimized for bandwidth and storage efficiency. It also supports electronic image stabilization that keeps the video smooth during vibrations, and Axis' Zipstream that lowers the bandwidth and storage requirements.

Video Analytics of Live or Recorded Video
  • This camera has the capacity to run video analytics via AXIS Camera Application Platform (ACAP) and can use a wide range of third party applications. The camera also offers a memory card slot for storing recordings locally.
Thermal Detection with Low Rate of False Alarms
  • Since thermal cameras are less sensitive to problems with light conditions and shadows, they can achieve higher accuracy and fewer false alarms than conventional cameras in most applications. Thanks to a thermal image contrast, this camera detects and verifies the situation when used in situations such as perimeter surveillance. This network camera can optimize detection performance to meet most application requirements.
Smooth Video and Low Storage Requirements
  • Supporting Axis' Zipstream technology, this camera filters out areas with no motion, and can focus on the parts of the image that contain movement. This significantly reduces the bandwidth and storage required. Moreover, the Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) helps the camera to provide smooth live viewing when it is mounted in unstable places and vibration can be perceived as an issue.
General
  • Captures images up to a resolution of 384 x 288
