The ikan Elite Pro has all the same features as the Elite V2, but instead of a standard tablet mount, it includes a larger mount supporting the iPad Pro, Surface Pro, and all other tablets ranging from 6 x 9 to 9 x 12" in size. The Elite Pro has a more flexible design than the original Elite prompter, featuring an adjustable/foldable glass frame and quick-release camera platform. The Elite Pro is a 15mm rod-based system, equipped with a raised, quick-release camera platform above the rods, and with a tripod-mount platform underneath the rods.

The range of supported cameras sizes runs from small mirrorless to mid-level camcorder sizes. Successfully tested cameras include the Sony a7S on the small end, Canon C100 in the mid-range, and Panasonic DVX200 on the large end. The Elite Pro uses a scientific-grade 70/30 glass, housed in an adjustable frame with a magnetic hood that provides a 20 ft reading range. The tripod-mount platform underneath the rods has a wide design and features multiple mounting holes, allowing for better stability and balance.

You can use any prompter app compatible with your tablet, including the Elite Prompter App, which is available sold separately at the App Store, Google Play, and other outlets. An Elite Remote Control designed specifically for iPads is also available sold separately (it works only with the Elite app). The Elite V2 ships to you in a custom-cut foam that you can install in any size-compatible hard case.

Elite Pro Universal Large Tablet Teleprompter is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is what to get if you have Windows and a Surface Pro 4 The hardware is near perfect. The only minor negative would be that the front to back prongs that hold a surface pro 4 are 1 mm to tight and that requires you to loosen the prongs each time you want to remove or insert the tablet into the tray. The other big issue for Windows users with a Surface Pro 4... is finding good free or cheap teleprompter software. The best free solution I've found so far is ... http://www.movieclip.biz/prompt.html. Another thing to consider is because this hardware enables a large table and large mirror... you can stand further back from the camera, but if you need to be close... you might consider setting the teleprompter software window to a smaller inset size on the screen... otherwise your viewers will see your eyes darting left to right as your read.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Concept and Workmanship This teleprompter is very well designed, and of course, it works as intended. There are two issues to note, however:1. The specs state that this teleprompter can support a tablet up to 12 x 9.Neither number is accurate. The spread on the horizontal is more like 12.25, while the spread on the vertical is less than 8.25, and has the further limitation that these brackets are bent in to keep the tablet in place. This is a good idea, but it further limits the size of the tablet which will fit. Also, the folks at the shop are very nice, but getting this issue addressed has not been real easy.2. The specs on B&H and on the company website misidentify the applicable SKB case. They identify SKB 1914-8. This case has an internal dimension of 19 x 14 x 8. However, the foam insert supplied, which is another great idea, is cut at 19 x 14.5 x 6. Thus, the correct case is the SKB 1914N-8. I believe the N signifies no wheels, but that is a guess. In any event the internal dimensions of this case are 19 x 14.5, so the foam fits. Unfortunately, you still have to deal with the extra two inches of height in the lid, and SKB charges $$for the foam set. These guys are trying very hard to put out a leading product. They just need to iron out a few details, and they will be there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to set up... Works great with my surface pro and iPad. The surface pro is a little snug but fits and is secure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, turn tablet portrait style Great quality among the budget teleprompters. For ipad pro, portrait style is better than landscape to avoid seeing the talent's eyes roam. It is not designed for that, so modify at your own discretion. Happy with product. Never tried the ikan app, using a different one. Anchor that tripod... Good luck and have fun

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Upgrade There are lots of cheap models of teleprompters on the market, but this is a nice balance between cost and quality. Very well built, feels solid. Nice bonus it ships with factory form fitted dense foam (maybe more like dense Styrofoam...super dense). The instructions recommend that you keep this as it fits perfectly in a particular brand of case (the model number slips my mind at the moment). I also bought the remote control. I'm using it with an LS300 and everything seems to work great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like this. Could be better, but it is very good. I have tried a few different teleprompters and so far this is the best quality. All of the others felt and looked much cheaper. This one is well built that is for sure. I use it with an iPad pro in a otter box symmetry folio case. It fits, but I don't use the front prong, because then it wouldn't fit. So I just slide it in and it stays put. I wish all teleprompter companies would anticipate their customers wanting to use cases. The other teleprompter I just tried out you had to pull the iPad holder apart because it felt like it was being bound with some sort of spring or rubber band and that didn't seem well built. This is good. My only complaint is that I wish it was easier to adjust the height of the camera. I wanted to add my own ball head to the back so that I could have my camera slightly tilted down. It would make the camera too tall. The base that the camera is on is just a little too tall for that. Though perhaps I haven't figured it out. Also the slot where you put the camera under the hood is a little narrow, but it still works. These are my only complaints. A good product. I will keep it. Thank you!
