  • 1Description

Sleek and capable, the midnight blue/gray Photo Hatchback Series BP 150 AW II Backpack from Lowepro is designed to hold a DSLR with attached lens, an extra lens, related accessories, and personal gear. On the front of the pack is a zippered storage area for personal items, accessory pockets, key fob, and a CradleFit pocket for your tablet. Camera equipment is stored inside the removable, padded insert, which is accessed through the back of the pack. Padded, touch-fastening dividers are helpful for organizing gear to your liking. A versatile pack, the insert seals at the top and features two carry handles for storing separately when converting the pack to general usage.

Two mesh side pockets can store a water bottle, mini tripod, gloves, or other items. Well-designed, the pack has a haul strap on top, adjustable, padded shoulder straps with chest connector, and waist strap with a quick release buckle. The back panel is padded for comfort and wicking away moisture. Your BP 150 AW II Backpack is made of tough 600D polyester and 210D nylon. Locating gear in low light is easier thanks to the light gray interior lining. To keep gear protected, the pack has a built-in, all-weather cover.

Lowepro BP 150 AW II reviews

Photo Hatchback Series BP 150 AW II Backpack (Midnight Blue/Gray) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great size pack for hiking and traveling I'm very happy with this pack. I bought it to replace a bulkier, less comfortable pack for a trip to Alaska. It was a tight fit but I was able to fit a D750 with a 28-300mm lens on the camera and a large 35mm Sigma Art lens in the hatch. The front sleeve is great for a kindle or smaller iPad and the top has plenty of room and nice compartments to hold all of my traveling accessories. It's comfortable on hikes and with the waste belt strapped I could take off the shoulder straps and swing it around to access the hatch without laying the pack down. It fits under an airplane seat and worked great for my trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for travel in wet areas Bought this pack for a Vietnam trip and just got back. I was looking to keep my camera secure and dry and it did the job perfectly! Camera compartment can only be accessed when the pack is off your back so walking thru crowded markets kept it safe. The rain cover made it possible to venture out everyday with the camera without having to worry about the weather. Keep in mind that the camera compartment box is only 8" by 6.5" which is enough room for only one DSLR with a 4.5" long lens.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great all-around backpack I recently purchased the Lowepro Photo Hatchback Series BP 150 AW II backpack for my Olympus Micro-Four Thirds camera. The smaller 150 size works well with my non-DSLR camera. The removable compartment on the back has been useful for car rides or short walks around town so my load is smaller. In the event of wanting to take a quick picture, it can be a little difficult to take the camera out of the compartment since it's up against your back. The backpack also has a storage compartment on the front which holds more camera equipment or other necessary items. The rain cover is a nice feature for hikes during unpredictable weather. Overall, I like the backpack and would recommend it because it is constructed well and is reasonably light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful and streamlined Love this backpack. It's fairly comfortable, streamlined and useful for my every day use or day hikes. LOVE that it is about more than just holding the camera gear. The top compartment holds quite a lot including my wallet, keys, hygiene essentials, journal, snacks and photography extras when needed (like memory card wallet or a small flash). I've not toted a tablet around, yet, but slim notebooks, tickets, passports, etc fit in that space nicely. The photo gear cube is perfect for mirrorless. I use it mostly for my Fuji X100T, flash, memory card/battery wallet and a couple of extras, but I can fit my Canon 7DMK2 with a short zoom or a couple of basic primes, when needed. The side pockets are nice and stretchy to fit my Oben compact tripod on one side and my Hydroflask on the other (or sometimes my keys and iPhone if I'm just running errands). I've used it several times without camera gear, too, and then it really holds a lot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very strong and Lightweight Backpack. Versatile! The best backpack I've bought in years. It's amazing what I can fit into a this small bag. In traveling through Vietnam and Europe, I was able to fit a 15 laptop with mouse and power cords; a GX-8 Camera w/lens, battery charger with extra battery; A GoPro with a bunch of accessories in the main compartment. On the inside hidden pouch I had an external HHD for backups and a battery extender for keeping my cellphone charged. And in the front (smaller) compartment I had a note pad, wallet, reciepts, passports and cellphone. Finally, the side pouches I always had water or beer :-) We also used this as a very handy day pack once we settled in a town for a few days. We switched out the laptop for baby wipes and diapers. This pack came in very handy. Light and very durable. The pack took quite a beating and held up to everything we threw at it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect day bag for those with smaller camera systems. Perfect small day pack for those using a smaller camera system, my Fuji xt10 and two lenses fit perfectly with more than enough room up too for lunch and other small items. The aw cover is a great added bonus! My only real complaint would be the material on the back of the bag is very flimsy/cheap feeling but it gets the job done on an otherwise great little bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent versatile backpack for all sized cameras... Excellent photography backpack. I already own a blue version of the older model the 16L and loved it. This newer version does not change much. The dimensions are practically the same. I initially looked around for a long time for a low profile photography backpack that would accommodate a full sized SLR (such as my 5D Mark IV). Many were adequate but just too bulky. This backpack is perfect as the height of about 6 inches just accommodates the profile of my my 5D Mark IV. The main camera compartment is able to fit a 5D Mark IV with a 24-70mm f/2.8 attached. It fits snug but the compartment is generously protected with padding on all sides so I am ok with that. I would not be able to fit much else inside the main camera compartment except for maybe a battery charger or something similar (1.5 x 4 in size). The two side pockets are about 6-7 deep and wide enough to fit a water bottle. The front tablet compartment is great and though I dont carry a tablet much it is perfect for flat things such as papers and magazines. The top compartment is very big and you can fit tons in there. For example I can fit my 70-200 f4, 24-70 f/2.8 and my 600EX-RT flash in there. Not to mention the zipper compartment which can also hold memory cards and spare batteries. The shoulder straps are very comfortable . I have used this on a day hiking trip, using the extra room for food and snacks, as well as week-long vacations as it holds a variety of equipment. I have luckily never had to use the weather proof cover but that is always a useful feature. I would highly recommend this backpack to all. It may be catered or advertised toward smaller SLRs or mirrorless cameras, but it can definitely hold a full sized camera. Keep in mind that it would NOT be able to fit a camera with a battery grip.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good bag-- but not the best pocket placement for your tablet small, compact, and comes with rain sleeve. All and All, great bag-- but really wish the tablet/ laptop compartment was in the back side, not the front-- as it's the first thing that makes contact with unintentional collisions...
