Panasonic 60GB P2 Reviews

Amazing P2 technology

This is my first time using the P2 card. It is amazing. The footage is beautiful, but I am thrilled with the convenience of using it. I upgraded from a Sony HVR-Z5U (with DV tape and firewire) to the Panasonic AJ-PX270. Recording and previewing on the P2 is a breeze. I was concerned with transferring the files to my computer, but that is easy using a USB cable in the 2.0 device port. My non-linear editor accepts the MFX files with no problems. I am so happy I made the change.

Just got 2 60gb P2 cards. These replace the 64gb card, that is now discontinued. The new card comes with a 23% cut in price. A nice bit of news and the card works perfectly.

60GB card same as 64GB card

I found out from the B&H rep that the older 64 gb card is exactly the same as the 64 gb card (there was controversy with the name because of the space taken up by formatting). My only criticism (so far) is the absolutely ridiculous cost (Panasonic knows that you need it), but so far so good with the read and write capabilities with my Panasonic AG-HPX250. Still have to buy a card reader which is another pricey endeavor. Right now pulling off the video files directly from the camera.

F-Series Cards -- Seamless in Existing P2 Workflow!!

My new 60GB F-Series cards are used for shooting & downloading P2 media files. Nothing in my existing workflow needed firmware update -- just threw them in & never missed a beat. The only mystery to me was what happened to the other 4 gigs :-)? I'd like to get a couple more...
